Just curious if I need to go by the listed valve check interval, or since I adjusted mine on the loose side at about 4000 miles, can I stretch the mileage a bit before the next check/adjustment ?

Thanks

Mike

I just finished the second one at 25k.
At 12k they were tight but in spec, this time I replaced 6 of 8 shims.

When moving the shims, use a magnet.
I spent 3 days with arthroscopic surgical tools, locating a shim that jumped into the motor.

Just what I was hoping to hear...

My ol 03, Yamaha R1....I checked the valves every Christmas holiday. It never needed any shim adjustment...at just over 99,000 miles. Was hoping the Rotax would at least be 1/4 of that.

Thanks Zack

Mike
