Riding the Blast home I hear some clacking as I pull in - wheel-bearings will need to be replaced - no biggie - Napa has a set at 9.99 a piece - lol - a bargain - my wife hands me a box and I know the Erik Buell Racing ecm for pump gas 1125CR stock setup has arrived - no outer damage though I know ups is gorilla maned - lol- so some early morning wrenching, and then off for test rides till night fall - lol - sounds like a good start for the weekend!

I try to research my mods a little more carefully now a days.

My mods - Traction grips, removed rear pegs, switched out pegs, CF tank pad, and now the ecm.

Looking at the seat, and checking plugs - probably go with the IXU01-27, unless something better comes along.

For me the performance envelope is enough right now, just adapting for personal fit and looks right now.

I love the looks - really not much to change there - just personal touches - haven't decided if I'm ditching the guards yet. Since it is so fast, I'm not really interested in upping its envelope - the ecm change out just makes her easier to ride and is actually better for the bike in terms of longevity. At this point I am working on dialing in the suspension so that I can transition quicker and true in the goat trails. Without even realizing it my Blast has been slowly evolving into a junior version - lol

Starkiller and Insideous two fun Buells and both first year - lol

LOL - I just went puttering around - nice much easier down low, nice and steady - a rock solid investment for that alone, but the weekend is just ahead!

I spent more time researching and reading about the new ECM than I typically do, simply because I was happy with my OEM 142 flash on my '09R. But now that I've replaced it, I realize I now realize my happiness with the factory flash was based on my never having tried a better one. You'll thank yourself for spending that $250 ...

Yeah - the ECM is the easiest product improvement item I've ever installed. The results totally rock!
