Okay, here it is! It takes the wind off of your torso and is stable at 120. Laminar said they would make it available. I'm surprised how much a small piece of plastic can do!  (Message edited by oyrider on May 27, 2010) | ||

It uses round adhesive/velcro-like pads. Four of them. They're pretty sticky! My riding buddy has one of Laminar's products on his FJR and it has stayed in place for years and lots of miles. It also means the shield is removable. | ||

I wonder if they can make one that is about 2 to 4 inches taller? I have a similar lip on my XB12S it's works fairly well, but would work better if it was taller... | ||

OK - Who is going to take their 1125R down to Laminar Lip so he can use it to build product for the R bike (not CR)??!?? I called and spoke to owner of Laminar Lip - he said he needs a bike for a day or two to make a mold for the 1125R. Anyone near Costa Mesa or Santa Ana? Anyone down in Orange County? LA County? It would be appreciated. | ||

Just ordered one in smoke. I'll report how it compares to the earlier one I posted. It won't be as tall, but may work as well. I'm really liking the aerodynamics of the National Cycles one I showed earlier. At 80 mph, with the high bars, I'm able to completely relax my grip and sit neutrally with the air flow! | ||

Mine looks about 3 inches taller, depending on how you adjust it,(which is almost instantaneous by the way). I'm not bad mouthin' the Lip guys, but...mine reflects the shapes of the CR and theirs...I think it just kinda sits there. I mean, sexy is important, isn't it? Personal preference I guess. That's why we ride.  | ||

Bitey, my 120 was on a burst, there wasn't room enough to sustain the speed. The Lip did provide a bit of a hiding place from the wind! Dktechguy, thanks on the Vette. Its a convertible with a 6 speed, and I'd take the 1125 solo and the Vette with the wife. Both are pretty fun. | ||

Mine came in tonite, apparently while we were eating dinner. I'll do a comparison with my shield-like windscreen Saturday. It's supposed to be 101F here Saturday. Maybe I'll go out at 6AM. |
