Just a thought here, but what about a BadWeb Logo on the seat? As much loyalty and pride that I have for Erik and his machines, I do believe that I have just as much for this site, and all of my compadres here. I think that especially since the idea originated here, grew here, and is going to come to fruition here, putting the (dare I say our?) BadWeB logo prominently displayed would be an idea I could totally get behind. What say ye? R | ||

Mickeyq: I don't particularly care if it has a logo. I mean the Buell Pegasus would be cool; but, not necessary. Most important is comfort for longer rides! Also, I'll go with whichever seat builder chimes in. I'm with Mickeyq. At one point I went to a local seat builder. Prices started at 100 all the guy up to 250 depending on materials. If you tell a Seat builder that we want a 50+ order, I am sure they will give a volume discount of some sort. | ||

------UPDATE------ Corbin: The Corbin email was not from the top but the person was quite clear when he stated, "we can't be undercutting our dealer network". This tells me that if Corbin IS in OUR interest we must find a dealer. I am no Supply & Logistics Management scholar but if we decide on Corbin I have a plan. A-S-B We are waiting to hear from Al. We need to focus on these directions so we can see where we stand on this. Vendors bid better with real numbers. If we can agree on one direction-vendor that would give us the greatest clout and give the producer a greater incentive too. Here's hoping! Lets do this now. I will assemble and post results. 2 but i think the writing is on the wall. Parts for Buells are a big problem 6 months post closing. It will only get worse as no vendor wants to eat the cost of tooling for 5k production bikes. I love this bike and will give it till this fall to see how the vendor support plays out but i really think we are in big trouble. | ||

I'm pretty flexible and would go with the rest of the group. However, if we did a re-cover, I would prefer a core charge vs having no seat for an indefinite period of time. I would also be against the logo if it added a significant cost to the seat. | ||

They might have seat pans, Should we email MR and E-B-R on the subject of takeoff pans? Carbonbigfoot I know I feel the same way. 2 or 4? Norwegian_1125cr I think Al is trying to score some pans. See first part of this thread MR and E-B-R could have some pans. I think if we try hard enough we can find them cheap. Take off's are always cheap. Brag918 BWB Moderator said no to logo in earlier post, 2 or 4? Whistler --> 2 for you. Orman1649 lets see if the take off idea returns any seat pans. If we have all the pans up front the production will go faster. 14 out of 59 have voted 2 or 4, I can't see the logo idea working with neither E-B-R or BWB being interested. I'm late to the game, but I'd be interested in this as well at stock height. I'd prefer no logo personally, but it's certainly not a deal breaker. |
