7000 miles pre-upgrade (not recall). No issues. Only about 500 miles since the upgrade, no issues, no voltage fluctuations, nothing unusual. |

I do a lot of riding in traffic but the only issue I have seen so far is the battery light comes on occasionally after I stop and restart the bike. Goes away as soon as I am moving. Not really worrying me much. |

900 miles on replacement 2010 motor, harness was installed at the same time motor was. 08' motor had an issue after 8 miles. I keep the bike on a battery tender because it's easy. Went about 10 days without the battery tender and after stopping for gas about 8 miles from home I got a slow crank with battery light, fans were on for about a minute during fill up, waited about 5 minutes then it started. I don't blame the harness as the bike seems to drain the battery just sitting in the garage. I can't check the running voltage with the 08' speedo cluster. |

2300 mile pre-upgrade with no problem. 200 miles post-upgrade noticed the bike did not charge at idle. When fans switched on battery drained, voltage fell below 12V. Returned bike to dealer, harness incorrectly installed. Only another 100 miles since dealer fixed the harness installation, but the bike seems fine so far. my problems are well documented here. just search for "System Voltage" IC message. This is since the harness upgrade. It has been in for service twice. first for the upgrade and second to trouble shoot the IC message. Both times little things were missed and now I have lost faith in my local dealer. 2009 1125R 5000miles I am waiting for a voltage regulator |

The key seems to be to have a dealer that knows what they are doing install the harness. I haven't had any problems yet, but i am going to take mine in for the upgrade. |

On my '09 CR in Florida: dealer shorted pins somehow during installation, thought that ECM was blown but figured out after a day that it was just a blown fuse. Bike seems fine, 200 miles post-harness, 1100 total. My other 1125 ('09 R in Nevada) will be in for the harness upgrade soon, will report results. |

Yep, being Buell nut has its draw backs sometimes. My question is, if there have been the amount of Stator issues we have seen so far, what is the root cause of those issues. Inferior parts, design... what? I and 4 friends purchased 1125's the day of or the day after 10/15. 2 of the 3 have been in for stator replacements. 4 of the 5 have had the harness upgrade and 1 of the 5 had his bike replaced (as in given a new bike by the dealer) due to his rear head being cracked. Like I said for me it is all apart of the game being a Buell nut, for the other 4 friends and newbies to the Buell world they are cautiously enjoying their rides. |

Damn Naiguy that is not good. That is what I am worried about. One Stator failure after harness update 24,000 miles. 4 total!!! I would ask for a new engine 2010!! California Lemon Law!! Same Problem 4 times! Also what I am seeing between most everybody Naiguy being the exception. The fix depends on what condition the stator is in before the fix is performed. If the stator is on the verge of being toast it does not matter if fix was performed the stator will eventually quit. The test will be when a new stator is put in with the harness update. So far for me over 8,000 miles on mine over 4,000 miles on new stator and harness. So far so good bike is running awesome. My new stator went in at 4,000 miles a week later service bulletin came out. I did not ride that week. Had the dealer put the harness in and the rest is history. |
