Any of you have an idea for a better set of tires for the 1125r? My stock Perreli tires have about 6000 miles on them and the rear is already bald and showing the metal wiring mesh. So, I am wondering what some of you have a tire in mind that has a longer life span and still offers performance. Thanks, Paul.

6000 miles out of a set of Corsa III's is pretty good going, Im lucky to get 2500 out of a set. You could try Pilot Roads or Dunlop Roadsmarts, but both of them wont give you the same performance as the Pielli's.

You are about to get way more opinions via tires than you ever expected. Hands down, Bridgestone BT021's. Oh and if your expecting 6000 miles out of it good luck.

on my triumph and my motards i run pilot power 2ct's. I love them, they are great tires. how many miles you get out of tires will vary on how you ride and the conditions.

The Dunlop Q2's I just put on made a big difference for the better for me, but I cannot tell you how long they will last . They are supposed to have a harder center for longer life , but results may vary

If you are getting 6k out of the corsa III you can put anything you like on the bike. Ya ain't riding it that hard.

Put a sport-touring type tire on it (Storm, Angel, Pilot Road, etc.).

I use roadsmarts on my FJR as it eats up many miles of highway. I'll bet you can get 8-10k out of them if you can get 6k out of the stockers.

The FJR eats up the front as quick as the back, but the M2 used to eat up (2) back for (1) front.

I have dunlop road smarts on my xb and really like them .(got 10k out of the rear)
My 1125r has 2200 miles on it and i am at the tread bars already.(was hard miles around the dragon)
Looking at the Michelin pc2's for it.
I never felt comfortable with the stock corsa 3's even with allot heat they felt loose

Don't much care for the stockers, a triangulated tire like the Pilots or the Road Attacks feel Great on these bikes. The Pilots are wearing pretty good too.

I have a Power Pure rear that's going on next...

I guess that I am just too used to my Harley because I am able to get 10 to 12 thousand miles on the Dunlops. On my 1125r, I ride fast but I don't do burnouts or wheelies because I wanted to see what I could get out of my first set. So, thanks to all of you for the great insight. You have given me a ton of options to think about.

I recently decided to use a combination of tires, i like the soft front and the harder rear tire, it seems to suit me and and the bike, the soft front is a Pirelli Rosso and an Angel ST, this setup has been doing well so far. The front obviously grips well but surprisingly the rear has been gripping just as well. I am starting to think the front is the more important compound for traction control. But then again I haven't really pushed them to the limits (Dragging Knee).

I've run the 003RS. They don't last very long at all -- less than the Corsa II for sure -- and I don't like the way they handle. You will need geometry changes on the bike to deal with that fat, tall front tire.

I have the Bridgestone BT021 on the back with about 5000 km on it so about 3100 mi and I probably have about another 3000 km left befor the wear bars. the stock front will should be done at about the same time and I will be putting them back on because I love the milage that I got out of the back and how they preform in all types of weather

my mistake I have the BT016 on the rear

I will go with a Pilot Power 2CT on the front and Pilot Road 2 on the rear after the front C3 is worn out.

For a SPORT TOURING tire, they do REALLY well.

+1 on the Stradas. If you want them to last, get a touring tire. Just don't expect it to corner like sport tires. Then again, if you want tires to last 10,000 miles, I wouldn't think the 1125 is your kind of bike.
