i have had parts on order for 3 weeks and finally my k&n filter came in and the map switch for the pcv fuel commander and heres the question do i have to wait for my powercommander to get here to put in my k&n filter with my fmf exhaust i have heard of the lean problem with this bike and didnt know if it would hurt performance or motor ...etc..... dont let me down badweather give me the pros and cons plzzzzzzzzzz

I have been running a D&D with the K&N just fine for a few miles. I got my MT-1 from KEDA Designs and it runs even better than before.

I don't think you have to worry about serious damage unless you plan on racing or doing some very aggressive, endurance riding.

Just my opinion.

You should be fine for a while. WOT runs for the most part have shown to be in the 13.5:1 or 14:1.

This is one of those "can of worms" topics. I have run my "stock" 09 R with a K&N from new.

300 miles ago I fitted the Barker

I know I am losing out on some performance and I know there are some very strong opinions about not doing this but it's my bike and it doesn't worry me...

you will do the bike more harm then pleasure.. Don't talk if nothing happends. With no Tune, what you do is almost sadomasochistisch (you know what i mean)
