I have an 1125r and a uly but find the uly is my favourite bike it could be faster and not as hot in summer.
Are you building one Foggy?
Anyone tried to fit the rear sub frame yet?

Rear subframe won't fit without fabricating adapters. My issue is I can't fab, so I am stuck for now till I get off my ass and contract that out. But I also need to fix my other Uly and put a full fairing setup on it, then I need to start building an electric Tuber. Bah, too many ideas, not enough time or cash : (

It can be done, I saw an XB with the 1125 engine in it.

How cool would that be, a 12r with a Helicon in it. That would be a sleeper that no one would expect to get whipped by.

Not cool at all, IMHO.

The XB chassis is almost so wheelie prone already, I can't imagine it with a 150HP motor in there...

I don't see how it would be cool either. It is an inferior chassis. Hell most of you would be getting less than 50 mile range with its 3 gallon frame.

Plus the bike would look pretty much the same as it does now.

10 bucks says that it was an 1125 that was made to look like an XB...there's some of them out there, i cant imagine the hell it would be to make it all work together!

You can do a lot of fabricating with a vice, a hand drill, a hacksaw, and a file. It just takes longer.

Hey Froggy if you can find me a cheap ULY tail for my Ss I would be happy to help you with the fab work. Well I'd be happy to help either way, but thought you might have one stockpiled up there will all the bikes and parts!

Seriously though, I'd be up for it. I have a little experience from adapting a R tail to my Ss frame. Shoot me a PM if you ever would like to talk about it.

I don't have any spare Uly parts yet, I was thinking of stealing them off my XB for the switch.

The SS/Uly subframes are the same physically, with the only differences is the SS has holes drilled for passenger pegs, and the Uly has holes near the top for the different tail section bridge. The part that meets the frame is the same.

I'll send you a PM.

The next hurdle would be making footpeg mounts for a passenger, and adding luggage racks. AFter that, its just minor stuff like wiring.
