When my bro wrecked his bike, he crushed the speedo, i changed the oil to amsoil before I got the new speedo on the bike, he thought the bike had 2500 miles, which i thought was enough miles to switch to sythetic, but it turns out the bike only has 1600 miles on it, did i switch to a synthetic to early? |

You will be fine. I have ran synthetic in all my bikes and cars on the first oil change and never had a problem at all. |

You're good. The 1125r comes with syn3, which is a synthetic. So you already had synthetic to begin with. Also the first oil change is suppose to be done at like 1000 miles anyway. The first oil the factory suggest to use is Syn3. So synthetic is good all day ever day for that bike. ST |

But probably because the dyno oil is cheaper and they're only using it for a little while anyway. Synthetic oil will not prevent the break in of the engine. For a water cooled engine, whatever. For air cooled, I would only run synthetic, even at zero miles. |

SYN3 is not a full synthetic- it's a semi-sythetic oil... it's just priced like a full synthetic. Regardless, using either a semi-syn or full-syn will not hamper break-in. You will, however, be supporting the nationalist/socialist government of Hugo Chavez by purchasing H-D branded oil. H-D branded oil is made by Citgo, which is actually Petroleos de Venezuela- a government owned oil company under the control of the megalomaniac Chavez. Why H-D does business with this lunatic is beyond me, and anyone who supports this anti-American nut-job by buying the H-D branded Citgo oil should be ashamed. |

I use these in my bikes...both work great and are MA rated.... http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/aro.aspx or if I feel like spending the extra money http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mcv.aspx I have great results with both of these, for the money though... you cant beat the ASO (the stuff in the first link). |
