Honestly the light isn't THAT much better at night, but I definitely notice more people paying attention to me with it during the day. It has been a great safety upgrade. I was the recipient of an ENTIRE retread at 65+mph on my SV. Went under the front wheel and under the bike. I basically jumped it dirt bike style. Ripped the left rearset clean off the bike, shifter and all. I had a huge bruise on my leg. Front rim had a nice scar, as did the exhaust. I was riding home yesterday and saw another one.
