Need a steering damper and have questions specific to the 1125r. Would prefer locating in front of forks, behind gauge cluster (Personal preference).

Options as I see them are Ohlins, Bitubo, or custom built mount for Hyperpro. Would prefer the active Hyperpro as I think dampening effect would least obtrusive until needed. I've no experience with dampers, so if I'm wrong, let me know.

Throttle cables are plenty tight when bars are turned full right. Appears to me the cables would need to be extended to clear the damper. (the only picture I can find of installed damper has top triple tree & bars missing, so I can't tell anything about cables)

1) Will stock cables clear ok?
2) Are there other possibilities I'm missing?
3) Would love to see installed pictures if anyone has available.

Thanks

With the Ohlins kit you have to remove some of the wire guide plastics, but it works really well.

You can still reach in and adjust while riding, btw.

After a little (one hand on the bar) head shake today doing nothing more than hitting a couple mid corner winter road berms, I am a believer in my next purchase. GPR4V will look into it.

ps...Tell the manufacturer that you saw them at the Dallas International Motorcycle show in November and they will knock 100 bucks off. Dont know if this works at all for other shows but the GPR rep at that show told me to say that.

i have been runnning the GPR damper for a couple years on my race bike and for ease of use it is great. easy to install and remove. i usually run it on 3-7.

I don't have a pic of one fitted but the GPR IMO is definitely the best looking unit. Seems to take up less space than others ad looks the most balanced. I like an even balanced look. The fact that it's so easy to adjust is also a nice feature.

Here's one I found with a brief search. I'm sure there are more that have been posted if you want to take a little time searching.

thanks... the mounting pics i can find only show one arm, i'm sure i've seen a pic with 2 but that was on an xb rather than an 1125.. i just concerned that it may load the airbox cover bolt too much.. i'd hate to strip that thread lol....
