Noticed brake fluid leaking from the clutch bleeder port where it threads into the case. (09 1125R) Dealer says it is tightened properly and that Buell has a recall on the port. They ordered the new one and said it was covered by warranty.

Anyone else hear of this?

Just a guess, it got overtightened somewhere along the line, deformed the sealing surface and now it leaks. If you've had the warranty service for the leak under the puck (the normal clutch leak) and they did the repairs, I'd guess thats where it happened. I've been known to be wrong, but the clutch cover is just aluminum and will only take so much abuse before failure.

My cover was replaced under warranty and I see the weepage from the bleeder too. I just figured it was insignificant.

Yeah, checked tightness, this started not long after they fixed the leak under the puck. I think D adams is right, it was probably overtightened at that time. My guess is they will replace the clutch cover.

Will re-post when that's done and let everyone know whats up.

Thanks everyone for the help.
