This chart has no stock baseline but it shows significant gains "if" the dynojet runs true .

Is that on the engine dyno or a chassis dyno?

Chassis dyno. This data is generated on a Superflow cycledyn chassis dyno. A standard rear wheel and tire @ 35psi. These pulls are done in 4th gear (17x44 sprockets) useing a "roll on" type run with a constant 10% load on the eddy brake. There is no forced air into the airbox in the dyno cell. Adjustments to the fueling table (for RAM air / high speed load compensation) are made based from on track data logging.
The RR spec airbox REALLY allows the engine to breath.
Buell also owned a Dynojet 250 eddy brake chassis dyno which allowed comparison of different makes and models for "apple to apple" back to back tests.
....busted.

Now maybe a pertinent question would be; how many factory H.P. figures are on chassis dynos or crankshaft type of measuring. What do all the major companies such as Ducati, all the big four and BMW, etc. use in their advertising?

Looks like a 1190RR, Euro version would make around 200 crank H.P. or so.

Lets go racing, somewhere, and find out! Bob

Just about every single HP rating you see released by manufacturers is crank HP, which is always a little higher than wheel horsepower as there isn't drive-train loss. 200 crank HP sounds about right. : )

11,800 for the 1190, little bit more for the 125RR. Wow.

If the 1190rr is blue and 1125rr red, it suggest two bikes were run on the dyno. If this data were collected on a Superflow cycledyn chassis dyno by two bikes and assuming this took time between pulls to get both bikes on and off the dyno, strapped down - up to temp and stuff, how come the red and blue lines for torque and horsepower are damn near mirror images of themselves for both bikes? I've never seen such repeatability and consistency on the same bike with a cylinder change, never mind two different bikes running different capacities. The time factor alone to change bikes or just components on one bike would be enough to throw different curves. What kind of laboratory environment does this dyno live in it has me wonder.

Is this remarkable or is someone having us on because of what Rocket asked for? I'm curious as to why Froggy edited the anonymous post, soon after he then posted info about 200 crank HP. Who is anonymous in this instance because it looks a little like a prank to me. And the dyno chart is posted with no information about what or where it's from. It looks like it could have been totally fabricated given the circumstances surrounding the 185rwhp demand from a banned BadWeBer. Which has me wondering why this is hidden in a little participated in topic you have to link to from the 1125 board. Why is it not in bright lights elsewhere on the BadWeB? And why did Froggy post this chart in the Blair topic for Rocket to see, yet he did not link to it or say where it was. I mean why not link straight to it so Rocket had not to wade through other forums and topics to find, as anyone else would need to also? And let's face it. There's probably not that many reading the Blair topic. It would appear reasonably safe to post this as a prank only a few would notice. Perhaps explains why it's not surfaced as its own topic in a more relevant or prevalent place. Could it be Froggy's avoiding a lot of fuss making over this and he did it for Rocket's benefit? I can't help thinking someone's being had here. It could be correct, but I don't see alot on that chart to make me believe it anymore than I would anymore than any other internet source. I see a chart with lines, the dyno's I have had my bikes on had my name on the chart, the bike last six of the VIN or the size of the bike, the day and time, the temperature all on the chart itself. I don't see anything on this that makes me believe that chart is real.

It's just a peek. No prank. I'm not aware of any other thread from "Rocket". I looked in on the thread to see what people were commenting on - nothing more. Yes I am being a little coy; the motorcycle run has the EBR programable ECM and Race pipe. Froggy had nothing to do with posting this (cropped) screen shot. It's just a peek.

Relax already. Next time I'll not bother. Believe what you want.

Why did you post it as anonymous? Why did the custodians let you post as anonymous? Usually when this happens it has to do with some company agreement for disclosure. I am looking at the one posted by anonymous, the one posted by Backflash seems just fine to me.

Because an edit was requested. Annony posters cannot edit their own posts without exposing themselves. I have nothing to do with the bike or dyno run, I am not affiliated with Buell/EBR in any way shape or form.

The Anonymous poster is approved to post. They requested approval before doing so.

Froggy,
No conspiracy, it is just that dyno sheet doesn't really look like a credible run. The numbers are fine, I truly believe the engine can perform to those numbers, but I just don't see anything on the anonymous sheet posted that makes me believe that is a credible run. The lines are too symetrical, it doesn't look right, something is not right with that sheet. Didn't drink anything good today, but if I come across something good I will send it your way brother : )

I am putting an HMF pipe and a dynojet Powercommander 5 on my bike in the next month or so( I have the pipe just waiting on the powercommander to show up) with before and after dyno runs that I will post up with all pertinent info. I am hoping to get a really nice bump and some smooth power delivery. We will see.

Nothing personal (honest!), but you have no idea what you are talking about with regards to the anony policy, and you are wrong. You also think you know the full story of why somebody was banned, and you are wrong about that also. You think its your job to "fix us" or "enlighten us" with regards to how the community runs the site, and you are wrong about that as well.

Again, nothing personal, but it is all really tedious. You have made it clear that you don't believe the Erik Buell Racing won't make the advertised HP ratings. Fine, don't buy one and don't race one.

Forgive us if, based on your stellar record to date, we don't give your assertions about the potential output of a highly tuned Helicon motor more weight then the assertions of an individual that played a key role in designing and developing the engine.

I don't get the skepticism. The Helicon is a highly tuned version of a motor that was based on state of the art design utilizing formula 1 technology in the valve train and designed in conjunction with one of the premiere high performance motor manufactures on the planet. Other state of the art 1200 CC VTwins are pushing 200 HP. Why *wouldn't* the Helicon be able to get there?

(Especially with a pi**ed off Erik Buell, and a freshly removed set of handcuffs sitting on the shop floor... I'm glad *I'm* not racing against him... )

My track record? lol....ok whatever, first read my posts again, really read them again, especially this part
The numbers are fine, I truly believe the engine can perform to those numbers, but I just don't see anything on the anonymous sheet posted that makes me believe that is a credible run

Then after you realize I am not skeptical about the engine but more the sheet presented here, kindly perform arial sex with a mobile pastry. What track record are you referring to? How often do you think Sean and I communicate? I would say pretty often, do you think I did or didn't get the email from Blake about Rocket, I am sure you read it if you are in the "know" before it was sent yes? I am pretty sure I know why he was banned, I am not a newbie here, doens't mean I agree with it, in fact I don't at all, I have been reading this forum from a week after I bought my first Buell(of four) in 2005. So after you are finished with your pastry PLEASE apply for more permission from the King to fornicate elsewhere. Thanks.

Nothing personal of course...Honest!!

Hahahaha . . I frickin' LOVE the internet.

Where else can a shade tree mechanic question a Dave McGrath dyno chart based on it "just not looking right".

That's right up there with telling Bill Werner how to tune.

This is the SAME Dave McGrath who gained fame as a Super Tuner for Honda North America doing Kurtis Roberts and Jale Zemke's bike while developing Honda's new Superbike entry, right?

Yeah . . I'll bet he can learn a thing or two about tuning bikes and operating a dyno by hanging out in internet chat forums.

I spit coffee on my monitor.

I am sure you think this all kinds of funny Court, but honestly I don't see a credible run there, but hey, knock yourself and your monitor out with the coffee. I don't know Dave McGrath, I am sure he is a wonderful guy, I don't know the name, because I am not really into name dropping, I know it's all the rage for Columbia grads though...so forgive me if I didn't sheep along with this one. And if he is so willing to claim it later why post it anonymously first? Oh whatever I actually don't care, I have more on my mind today that this, but it was brought to my attention via an email and I came here and looked. So enjoy your day gentleman really I mean that with no malice, I have toast to make for a friend, so I will see this section again later or maybe tomorrow but now I have to send my prayer up to my buddy. I don't bury many friends these days, so this one is tough, so forgive my mood if I am crabby or snappy as well, I am sure it will look different tomorrow or the next day, but today, that chart doesn't look right. So...

Good night gentleman.

Sorry for your loss . Good guys /friends are hard to come by and when there gone . A couple of my good friends are gone some of my soul and spirit went with them.
Good luck Dale .

I assure you folks that noone is posting from ebr on badweb. They want nothing to do with this mess.

Ahhhhhh

The dyno chart section.I love it. Disagreements, no ways, being shocked,Lier lier, shame on you shame on me, Dyno charts are always wierd . Some are wiggly little lines, some are steep short on data . Some don't even have a afr chart. What good is that? Most people are blind and don't understand the meaning of a dyno.
Which is before and after comparisions. So all the charts i see above as inconclusive because there was no baseline of a stock R . I assure you I didn't post anonomyous. Because I wouldn't post such info like that without a baseline. That is what I've been preaching this whole time. I don't flip flop like half the people on here I stick to my gutt. I don't protect anyone I say how it is. There it's been said. Someone wanna tell on me or spank me on my pp. Enjoy the dyno chart section and home brews are welcome too. This section will be great info for those people buying products . That's why I started it. Everyone will get a clue as what products that work and don't work.believe or not but this will save you $ if you plan to buy some go fast parts. Nothing better than to see someone post their results than a average backyard Joe the plummer . Not a backyard builder. The backyard buyer which is nonbias.

In the meantime of all this disagreement someone very special is dyno testing all the combinations.
Easy girls this will be all taken care of when the exhaust shootout is published.

Court for god sakes get out of here. Go write a book or make love to your pc.
