Whats is a better exhaust Buell Racing or Free Sprits RS-413 complete exhaust system for all 1125?

I don't see how you could go wrong with the TH and a tune if you have the cash.

No offense to any TH owners but the two exhausts mentioned originally are in a different league entirely if you take into account aesthetics... not to mention they are also full systems.

Hopefully I will be comparing the FMF slip-on w/ Old Sweaty Balls vs. TQ Hammer/Easy tune vs. Buell race w/ Race tuner vs. Stock. On the same dyno as soon as it warms up in the Bumpus dyno room.

Capt you're stuttering. Who cares what a pipe looks like inside a belly pan? Besides my TH is in stainless and I think it looks great when the pans off. It also costs less than 1/2 of what the other pipes listed cost. Then you have to consider the cost of developing a map for the others. Dris will sell you a map for the TH cheap.

For the map & pipe you could also talk to Pete at Grandstand Designs. He is the importer of the TH. He is also a racer and good guy to deal with.

Belly pans are available from a number of places. I got mine from Buell, but I know Grandstand and Airtech sell them also. My side fairings also came from Grandstand. You can see them in this thread. If you do a search here for fairings you'll find a wide variety of different combinations of full and side fairings that work with belly pans. There's also a thread with pics here of an 1125 the owner put only a belly pan on. Looked good.

Is there a bellypan that goes well with the factory side fairings available then? I'd be very interested to see that

I'd like to see that too. When i picked up my R i grabbed the only set of buell fairings that they had. I had no idea there was already so many other places to get fairings and such, now i'm stuck with the factory fairings.

There are quite a few exhaust vendors, heres a few that I can recall:
D&D, Jardine, HMF (sound great), HR1Riot, FMF, Termingnoni, Free Spirit, and more.

I found it constructive to listen to the exhaust notes of various exhausts on UTube.

I don't have, but am trying to get a chart of 2 dyno runs on Loretta.
The first was at 700 miles, M3HUS03Z flash, bone stock, 125HP.
The second, at 22k miles, was with a K&N, Drummer and a little monkeying with fuel/spark on flash M3HUS05Z, with Dave's manual tune utility. 127HP peak.
5k-8k there was 5-10 more HP on the second run.

It can get better, I'm sure but it is fine for now.
I want to get the latest flash and start over.

I actually like the look of the TH (I feel I may be in the minority there though) and the Drummer is also a good looking pipe...but it's just too pricey.

I know there's a lot of R&D work that goes into getting the right output from an aftermarket pipe but I can't justify the cost of the Drummer to myself let alone my to my good lady.

The HMF deals on eBay are really tempting, but I really don't like the look of them...

I will probably keep the stock pipe until the summer and then see about a trip over to NL to pick up a TH and tune... or maybe I'll just buy the HMF as it's so cheap..

Has anyone ever tested the two systems on the same bike and dyno? I remember reading the firestorm on this forum last winter because the maker of the Drummer refused to put it on a dyno.

I traded 1 for a Torque Hammer, a few minutes ago, I will dyno both of them in 1 day. It can take a few months or so..

Come spring I'll have some dyno runs with the HPE race exhaust - no baseline though. If anyone else has already done testing with this rare exhaust, please post the results.

Is your downpipe bent up some.I noticed some dents/scratching in your picture? The drummer hangs really low like the free spirits And can catch on any type of road debris.Very unsafe in my opinion.

Im almost done with my prototype exhaust just waiting on some bends to make a 2 into 1 downpipe. It sounded awesome nothing like a jardine/hmf,fmf its real deep. Not raspy at all.All 304 stainless construction ,even the packing.Like I said this is a rough prototype. Its tucked very nicely and still could accept a bigger rear tire and exhaust tip if i wanted to go larger.I thought about reworking the exit but it looks halfway descent. pm me if you have any questions or comment that can help me improve.I like the drummer sound just not the price. My goal was to tuck a chambered style/baffled exhaust full 304 stainless even the packing and tuck as tight to the engine as possible.Thats the look I wanted.Once I have a nice down pipe I will get some results on the dyno.Who knows I could be way off?
