I know the dealers have to make money too, but some of them are just plain price-gougeing. Post your real world prices/buys here so anyone looking to buy doesn't get cut too bad...and hurry...there is no more time, at least in the Midwest!

UPDATE: Dealer called me today and said they'd waive the doc fee of 199.00 to make up for the (80 actual) miles on the bike. $6 Grand out the door. I pay tax in my state. I'm done. Pulled the trigger today on a beautiful black 09 CR

Post your real world prices/buys here!

I'm buying in another state so I'll just hold the MSO this winter, bike has full 2 yr/unlimited warranty, won't even have to pay tax until spring...what's the point? Too cold to ride right now anyway, I'll get $1000 worth of enjoyment this winter just staring at the CR each day...and there'll be a few warm days...

They have (make that had) one of the last black 09 1125CR's in the midwest, I am in no position to play hardball IF I ever want a black one...been there done that too many times in my life with other things like this and 9 times out of 10 I'll lose it or settle for something I really don't want...life's too phlocking short for that!

Check out buell's site on remaining bikes left. It's not updated, so will show more than is actually left.

I was talking to DLR in OH today, some dude out in CO bought SIX of em at once! DLR said check was almost 50 grand, they will be gone by mid january and the ones left will be at 8 grand....I've seen everything from $5995 plus $800 freight/setup then doc on top of that (7000 before taxes) to one idiot dealer playing stupid about the rebates and his were priced at $11,695.00!!,

Seems like dealer cost (with rebate) is somewhere in the 5600.00 range from what I can decipher, so if you can find an R or CR anywhere in or near the six grand range (before taxes) that's as good as it gets.

Some CHGO dealer ordered the last of the new ones (he said), they're even getting all the Buell program ones/employee bikes as well...if you want one, if you've ever wanted one, better move it, check it out for yerself.

Thanks for the link. I see the '08 I test rode in October is still for sale. Dealer didn't play dumb, they claimed the rebate was only $1000. It was only after I told them we could call another dealer (that I had just talked to) to confirm the rebate that they "discovered" the rebate was actually $5000. Lying scumbags.

Forgive me, but why track all the prices we all pay. With the exception of the dealer playing dumb regarding the incentives, all of the 1125s are at great prices. Granted, some are better deals than others. For example, I know of friends that got better deals on their bikes than I, as well as others that got worst deals. At the end of the day, nearly all of these bikes are selling for great bang for the buck deals and considering that, we should all be very happy. I am surely open to conversation and can understand the intrigue in trying to better identify the value of the vehicle. In addition, don’t want to be selfish or upset others. However, part of me feels that very open discussion devalues the brand and the values of those bikes already purchased.

Just my food for thought . . .

I'm thinkin that if buyers are somewhat armed with information they will be in a better position to make their best deal, that's all...why walk in blind and pay $1000 too much only to find out you got screwed later? Not everyone has 1000 bucks to throw out the window (or into the HD dealers cash register) We don't want that...let em see what they're sellin for! Then they can at least try to make their best deal....

Remember who you're dealin with here...the majority (if not all) of the dealers are HD...that's HARLEY-DAVIDSON...dealers.

I don't know how old you guys are, but I remember them holdin us up in the early 90s with waitin lists, and charging us $5000 OVER MSRP on hogs (and gettin it!)

You honestly think they're above doing this again with the remaining Buell inventory? You better think again...

09 Red CR for 6500 without taxes and such on 11/28.

Both were ordered on those dates.

Same dealer, 6 weeks apart.

Bob;

Thanks. I don't believe the Buells will do anything but increase in value as time goes on. It's a shame that this happened, but it did, so take advantage of it while you can is what I say. Don't get me wrong. I ride an HD FLHRI. I'm not knockin the brand. Just tired of gettin hammered thru the years by some dealers. Guess what goes around really does come around, and yes I'm lovin' it. When you can buy a $12,000 bike for basically half price you better go for it.

To those who got the BIG sale prices, good for you!

I was very happy with my deal. I looked at is as i got an 12k bike for, a little less than half price. I was stoked at the time. Its not everyday you walk out with a new bike at half price.

I'd be surprised if people are getting the same deals that we got back in October. I paid much less than retail minus the rebate on mine new... and prices were creeping up days afterward!

T Bolt; We're NOT. Prices are headin north, especially after that Motorcyclist article in this month's rag (smart money) It's claimin you can buy a new CR for 6000...I don't think that's posssible anymore...(if mine didn't have the few miles on it I wouldn't have been able to)
Problem now is what few are left are being snapped up by other dealers as well, so you know what their plan is....

You "October Guys" got the best deals, no doubt. Ride Safe, and enjoy!

A group of guys here in Wisconsin paid $4250 OTD for a bunch of new 2008 1125R's back in October. Haven't heard of anyone who sold them for less.

My 09 cr was 5400otd on 10/17

I got there before they had marked them down. And the Sales guy was talking to me as if nothing had happened to buell. Then he came over to me with a clipboard when i was sitting on the CR and said take a look at this. It was a Price list once i saw the price(4999).
I look up at him and said 500 good to hold this cr for me. And that was that. Came back a few days later with the rest and brought her home and the rest where gone. All they had where blasts and i think an xb12. All the R's and CR's had been either spoken for or already picked up.

Prowler, if you're talking about the same dealership I ordered my '08 1125R from, it's Ukes in Kenosha, and I paid $4350. That's before a $59 doc fee, 3% for paying with a credit card, and $100 to have it palletized for shipping. (I'm 400 miles away and shipping is only costing me $130, which is about what it would have cost in gas to pick it up.) That was there last one at that price--the rest they've got are '09s between $6500-$7000, if I recall correctly.

I did find one dealer in Illinois with an '08 for $6000 out the door. (OTD in Illinois includes tax, title and license, since we have to pay that stuff at the dealer unless the bike is being titled out of state.) I would have bought that one if I didn't find the one in Kenosha for what will effectively be about $5300 shipped to my door, registered, etc.

Got my '09 Racing Red CR (#1658) with 6 miles on the ODO for $6,014.00 OTD.

Bike was marked at $6,000, and since I was buying out-of-state, fees and such were only $14.00 (in VA).

After getting a new title ($50.00), paying taxes ($360.84), and transferring the registration ($10.00) the total comes to $6,434.84. This is all in MD.

Bike was built in Dec '08 and was purchased on 12/08/2009 from Shenandoah H-D/Buell 158. Sonny was a great sales person (and Curtis an equally impressive sales manager) and hooked me up with a bunch of merch (T-shirt, Buell advertising poster, keychain, stickers, etc.) and 10% off a Buell bike cover!

They still had one more Racing Red '09 CR for $6,000 when I got mine ... wonder if it got sold.

Now to wait for the snow to melt ...

I was looking for a couple of weeks in Nov. The Grand Rapids, MI dealer put ads in the paper for $6995...that ended up being for demos only (which they were out of). The new price was $7999+TTL and fees. They would get back down to $7k+TTL after bitching about the bait and switch. The car dealer tactics they employ are so hack these days (making you wait, going to the manager, then going to the man behind the curtain, etc). I am pissed that I wasted a half hour of my time.

I called around and ended up at Ukes in Keonosha the day after thanksgiving. $6500 +$59 doc fee, I pay the rest in my state (TTL). I'm sure people have paid less, but I had a narrow window of time and they were up front and good to work with. '09CR

The best conversation I have had this year was with GR harley's 'sales manager' when he called me a week after I bought my bike...that was much fun for me, not so much for him.

I spoke with Gary Melton, in sales at Gateway H-D today, he has one CR and two Rs and some XBs. Gary is a retired motorcycle officer from the St.Louis PD, did the demonstrations when a Police Uly made the rounds of local departments for their consideration. Nice guy. Knowledgeable about Buells. 314-845-9900 if you want to check prices. Make sure you talk to Gary or someone may try to put you on something baggie.

I think the point of this thread was to see what people were paying for 1125s from 12/18 and on. Prices have been steadily rising and I think the intent was to let people know how much/where they got their deals in the past few weeks.

Of course, I could be entirely wrong. : )

"I think the point of this thread was to see what people were paying for 1125s from 12/18 and on. Prices have been steadily rising and I think the intent was to let people know how much/where they got their deals in the past few weeks."

I agree sale prices are rising but the reason is not because of increased demand. Perhaps the incredible deals people got in October were just dealers wanting to unload the bikes to rid themselves of Buell once and for all. Now those cheap bikes are gone the only ones remaining are from dealers that have held close to MSRP-$5k since the start of liquidation.

Sale prices are rising because lower-end supply is gone, not because demand is increasing. You can look at the pace of sales in the past month and see that it is slowing down. Next summer there will be a dealer with the last new 1125R and he will want $10k for it, and maybe someone will pay that much to get it. That doesn't mean that the value of all R's jumped up with it.
