IMHO I believe the buell race pipe looks the best .
What pipe do you believe sounds the best and looks the best.

I put an FMF Apex on my track bike. Holy sheet it's loud! Sounds pretty good, though. I'm certainly not disappointed in the sound, even if I wish it were a whole lot less noisy.

In my opinion, it's completely inappropriate on a street-legal motorcycle. It's way too loud unless you live on a farm in the country and never go into town.

Buell race is pretty good looking but LOUD!!!

Jardine and D&D are also waay loud.

Torque Hammer looks pretty similar to the stock but sounds waaay better w/o being too loud or obnoxious. But it does produce some real gains in HP and TQ.

Sounds the best? Hmmm...I'm told my Drummer makes my friend think of F1 racing everytime he hears it, so I'm with Rob on the biased part.

Looks the best? Hmmm...the Buell race system is dead sexy. I also dig the Drummer look too though (biased again).

He buell system is nice but I wished they made a slip on version .it is dead sexy as well but could use less db. But the deep low sound is nice.

The FMF full system is by far the best looking pipe out there - too bad it costs so much. And I have no idea what it sounds like, but I cannot imagine it is much louder than my Drummer.

I have heard the Drummer, D&D, and the FMF. I love the deep tone of the Drummer. Sounds like a combination of a big block Chevy and a WW2 radial engined bomber when I've let my friends ride off on it.

The D&D sounds like a Huey Cobra and the FMF sounds good, a little higher pitched than the Drummer with a bit of a 'crack' when hard on the throttle.

FMF full system on Dan Bilansky's race bike...

It's no louder than the slip on IMHO.

IMO Best looking is the HPE or the Free Spirits full system, I have expensive tastes.

I agree with Jredx. Definitely best looking, and the HPE has a street version and dB killers. I think performance gains depend more on the tune than the can.

i'd love to see more vids of the full FMF system in Ti or steel variants. I know they are loud, but DEAD sexy IMO.

The clip above doesn't really show the exhaust - which is it? And that's just at idle, i'd like to hear drive by volumes outside where i can roughly compare w/ others. Also i haven't been able to find any Dyno to compare the FMF full w/ others.

Otherwise I will probably go Drummer since i don't have 2k burning a hole in my pocket for the FMF full. It would be nice to see/hear both and compare Dynos for ea. I know they vary per bike, but in general should give an idea what gains (hp/tq) are where in powerband.

It's the Ti full system. And that was just a video after I helped Bilansky finish assembling the new race bike. Sorry that's the only clip I have. And the bike is now long gone.

The FMF full Ti system doesn't seem any louder than the slip-on IMHO.

If only there was a pipe that looked like the fmf full but in a slipon version with the sound of a drummer I would buy.Keeping in mind that if i want to pull a insert out for more sound that would be a quick change.I had a jardine cf i bought used 4$300.The packing was shot at 4 k they guy claimed. So i repacked it with 4 cycle packing .Needless to say even after the repack I completely hated it.
"Sure it was light"
It was a raspy terd in my eyes.Im working with a buddy of mine at a well known muffler company with awesome fabrication equipment to make one of my own likes.I want the looks of a fmf but in a slipon version that is a baffled style not a straight through style. Also with the looks of a round style muffler/pipe similair mounting to the jardine /hmf mounting area, all stainless, plus keep it cheap for me. lt looks like im taking matters in my own hands again.Uh oh!!
This guy Im working with is a genius.I have to take my stock pipe up to the shop monday for his cfm test machine.Hopefully the car exhaust industry can help me out.

The straight through styles just dont cut it for me. To raspy. They are light but annoying as well.

Thanks Steve. I'd found that one searching online, but didn't realize it was a badwebber's vid!

Small threadjack - i'd heard the FMF full system was loud (that's OK in my book - within reason), but that Buell went w/ their exhaust after running it for better mid/low end. Another reason i'd like to see Dyno's to compare any exhaust i'm considering. (again - bike to bike specific, but general gains and where good to know).

Steve - did you get any Dyno info on it after install? Feedback?

thx!!

Good looking - any video of your drag runs w/ it? Heard great things about these (also excited EBR will sell to public now).

Besides Nitrous - what mods to your bike? Any Dyno info on your setup?

Love to see/hear more of it. Thx for posting vid!!

I'm not 100% sure of the dyno #s. Remember, this is a complete 100% race bike(but, internally, the bike was 100% stock). IIRC, it was a little bit over 150 at the wheel with that exhaust, and bit of mapping. But don't quote me on that... I do remember how sweet it sounded, and was very surprised it wasn't really all that loud.

The only feedback I heard about it was that Bilanksy commented on how fun that bike was around Daytona.

I have heard the Buell race pipe on Danny's race bike, it is just amazing. Loud, but I couldn't believe the sound, and it was awesome how it drowns out the 4 bangers he was racing against.

You want Drummer Drummer Drummer....

Find one in person and listen. You can feel the ground shake on thin concrete when you are standing next to it.

BTW, I have received absolutely ZERO flak from LEO's after having on and riding daily as my primary transportation for almost a year. Not too loud. Loud, but not too loud.

Drummer is nice but you better dig deep deep deep deeeeeeeeep in your pockets for that pipe let alone fmfs full system.I understand theres dyno time as well to get it right but $900 wow. It better be made of titanium.I agree with dannys bike drowning out the liter bikes thats awesome.I was on a tight turn at mid ohio and man he drowned em out.He won that day. I was in the turn he bumped threw for the win I think it was josh he bumped into to get the win.Hell i dont know i was drunk.
