Mine is cast.

1324, you definitely have a "Friday after Thanksgiving" bike. No wonder you got it so cheap!

Figures. Mine must have come in on a waiver. Wonder what else is 'special' on my bike.

You guys have been very patient and I appreciate that. I got a drawing together and along with the solid model; they are now in my machinist's hands. I should have prototypes in my hands Monday or Tuesday. I'll get 'em to Nick for evaluation.

Regarding the 1125 EcoSliders, I now have photos from Jerry. The slider extends beyond the OEM lift spool just under 7/16".

The current design protrudes beyond the DHM lift spool approximately 1/4". I would be inclined to add 1/8" to that. Comments?

Thanks,
Keith

What you have there looks right in relation to the lift spool. Just a mechanic/fabricator's view.

Keith, agreed. Another 1/8" or so should be sufficient.

Keith,
Looks good. Let us know when we can order.
BTW, are the ecosliders shorter than the composite race ready sliders with spools?
Thanks.

Xtreme - When we started this effort, the collective asked that I keep the kit (front, rear, and lift spools) below $100. I believe that I can do that and I don't mean $99.99. After I get the production spools in my hands and know what the anodizer will charge, I'll know for sure.

Tim - With all of the changes we've made, the 1125 EcoSliders are now about the same length as the Composite race ready spool sliders.

Hey! That's my bike.

Anyway, the EcoSliders look good and I would definitely pick them up as they both finish the look of the swingarm and keep me from worrying about scratching the damn thing.

Having used the stock lift spools for the first time last weekend, I can say I am also looking forward to buying a pair.

Good news: the machinist has the program for the new spools loaded into his machine and I should have the first set tomorrow.

Stay tuned...

We have spools! I apologize for the poor photograph:

In order to keep things moving, I won't anodize the prototypes. They will be on the way to Nick as soon as I get his address.

Steve - Correctamundo!

Trek - At present, the only color that I plan to offer is black as in hard black anodize. It is a darn tough coating. The kit will come with a stainless steel 6mm button head screw.

Thanks,
Keith

+1 on the block off/turn signals!

I would be interested in a product that is flush mounted but bright enough to actually be seen . . .

Blluemand - I could sell them uncoated.

Ridenusa41 - It's an interesting idea. Do you have any turn signals in mind?

Anodizers charge by the lot, not by the quantity. So, the more colors I have to stock, the more expensive they will be.

If several folks wanted preorder a particular color, I would be happy to do it.

Keith,

Something like these:

So that they can still be fastened to the fairing, so that the fairing wont move or vibrate. As well as being bright enough to be seen in the daylight and not require a resistor to blink at the proper speed. Also make sure that the wires are the proper length, so that it would be plug and play, with no splicing or headaches.

I and many others have been looking for products like these, so we can get rid of those ugly mirrors, and not worry about what to do with the turn signals. Im very confident that there would be a market for these.

Thanks for consideration,
Jake
