I just purchased the '08 1125R service and electrical diagnostic manuals hoping it would list headlight, tail light and marker light replacement sizes, but was disappointed when it only listed factory replacement numbers. I found the headlight and tail light sizes from searching, but would like to replace the marker/running bulb with an LED and can not find the size. Am I not looking at these manuals right or do you just have to take things apart and take the bulbs to the shop for comparison???????????? I was also wanting to connect a headlight modulator to the marker lights, but do not want it to interfere with the low beams because I will be attempting HID install for those. I am not mechanically inclined so be gentle with your answers. What should take a normal soul five minutes to complete usually ends up taking me two hours and a week worth of apologies to the family for the profanity I made them endure! Thanks

Rockstarblast,

There are some good HID articles in the search function. I know for the R you need H8 headlight bulbs for replacement and for from reading what other guys are doing, you may only want to substitute the HID's in the low beams...check out http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p=product&id=10 7&parent=61. The site will give you some good info to start. I am going to go with 55 watt 8000k (they are plug-n-play)in the low beams because I want the bluish light for higher visibilty during the day. Hope that helps a little

The forum software doesn't support stickies : )

Thats similar to what I had in mind. The Ulysses section has it done better.

Not to threadjack, what is wrong with the search? I have never had an issue with it. It would be nice if it had more options, but it is functional.

DDM Tunings HID kits are top notch, I got them on the car, my XB12, and CR. Going to do the R when funds permit : )

Rocket...yep highs and lows are both H8's. The reason you may not want them in the high beams is that they need to be warmed up a tad to be at full brightness and the constant on off can be hard on the ballasts. I don't know how long they take to warm up or how long they stay warm. You can get away with 55 watts because they draw less power then OEM halogen bulb. There are a bunch of videos on youtube showing how bright those things are and I was sold on them after I saw how the bluish color gets peoples attention. PS: talking about the R, I think the CR runs H7 bulbs

I'm reviving this post as I'm looking to replace my markers with LEDs. Just want to confirm they are 194s.
