Can a tune make that kind of difference with all-stock components? That sounds huge!

If so, I certainly want something like that for my setup.

I actually got 55 british MPG quite often when rolling along at between 60 and 85 mph on the twisty welsh roads here int he uk, at the same time my mate with a Honda VT1000 (water cooled vee twin) was getting 35 mpg - so much for jap technology versus the old air cooled HD based Buell Thunderstorm motor.

The same roads ridden in the same style and speed this year showed about 43 mpg for the 1125R - standard apart from Remus can and the Honda mpg was unchanged.
My XB had areo 45 equal length headers, forward outlet can - both from Trojan, race ECU with K&N air filter etc versus his standard Honda

It certainly can if the original tune was that far off. It's no secret that Buell has released at least three different flashes for these bikes and the latest has shown to make more power. Maybe the initially power dyno numbers were part of the reason for the updated flash. I'd say 119rwhp is pretty bad for a motor making 146.

Froggy's mileage is legit. I've seen him do it.

First off, he weighs what...eight pounds dripping wet?

Second...I think he cheats somehow. I won't get into it...but I am jealous. Sneaky lil frog.... : )

Rider weight and tire pressure are huge factors for both mpg and tire life.
I run my tires hard and when warm they handle perfectly.

When we did the 2 laps around Road America, I was so excited, I forgot to drop my tire pressure from 42 F&R.
No slip anywhere on the route, rubber pill-bugs all over both tires and an 1/8" chicken strip left on the front tire afterwards.
No strip on the rear, knife-edge was a little scuffed... plenty of lean.
I giggled like a school-girl for an hour.

Most of Loretta's life she has shown 39 mpg AVG.
Last I checked it was 32 with 3-400 miles to figure since I reset it.
I HAVE been playing with spark and fuel amounts.
