I was told by my dealer who communicates straight to the factory that 2010 were made. At least some of them made it into the military dealer network, but were sold the day the announcement came out. | ||

The factory did not produce 2010 Loki product. they do however have some leftover 2009 Loki product that is currently being allocated to the dealers on a "wish list basis with shipping supposed to take place in Early November. ( By the way I am a sales manager in Buell/HD dealership) | ||

at the 25th anniversary, there were still building,and were at appr.3500 1125R,today at the last ride, i saw a 2008 with @3800. It was a sad day,there is no chance of buell coming back,harley has the rights to everything,thet have the dealer network,parts and distribution,and because of that they will never sell buell,and there is no rumor of ever coming back. It was nice to be at the factory,to see all the bikes,the elves,fellow riders,they even feed us, after the elves,erik and company gave a number of speeches,thanking the loyal workers,and thanking all the riders/customers all the years for supporting the company.The day didn't seem so gloomy,till after i got back to kenosha | ||

So that above number would then seem aggressive; especially given that we know that at the time of BMC's closing, some dealers still had 08s on the floor. That previous thread was a factual posting from someone in the know; anyone here have facts to post about how many 09s were produced? | ||

If the serial numbers started around 0 and counted up then there are at least 2450 08s made. | ||

May not have started at zero, but close. Loretta was built at the end of the first week of production and is no. 154. Z | ||

I dont have my bike here at work, where do you read off the serial number? I took a pic of my vin when I bought it, can you tell prod. number from that?  | ||

The preproduction models may have been the "prototypes" that were used for the demo days aligned with the 1125 roll-out (?). I know there were at least 20-25 of those that Buell most graciously allowed us to ride. I remember the speedo didn't work past about 88 mph, but it didn't matter. That ride led to me buying my 1125 (Serial No. 250 or so). | ||

Last 4 digits usually correlate to production #, with some variances in the sequence between model years, pre-prod units, etc. e.g. VIN ending in 001 not released for public sale on the '08 model year. | ||

I called HD today and they said they should have the total production numbers for 2009 1125's available in a couple of weeks. | ||

So my vin ending in 0932 on my 10/08 2009 1125 cr would in theory be the 932nd CR built? or would it be the 932nd 1125 r/cr built in 2009? | ||

My 12/08 CR is # 1152 .... I am curious what the latest build date anybody has is? I assume that most dealers had so much stock they must have slowed down or stopped building at some point prior to 10/15/2009. | ||
