What's the OD for the pipe just after the collector? I know the header OD is 1.75" but I was curious to see if it's the same size after it.

I just was out measuring the collector so i can order my baffles...more on that later...
But the pipe after the collector is 2"

I will get with Mark and see what we can do. I know that the lag that is shown on the chart is also because of where we start the dyno run, its slightly above idle and the bike's powerband does not hit that fast. But this area is also where we had limited ability to add fuel because of the O2 sensors sensitivity. But I would still like to see if we can improve this. I will let you know what I find out.

I will say I took the airbox lid off and what a nice sound with Jardine pipe...growl and low end torque/power came back with this tuning?...I felt it at low end around 4000 rpm and up. Cant wait till the K&N filter comes in!...I will keep You posted when I get the first one to test on my bike.

I dont think the solenoid disconnect is needed..,I dont seem to feel a failure to accelerate in 3rd gear at 4-6000 RPM?..maybe the 09's are different but I may try it...

Hey ponti, pic of the bolt/mounting at rear of cannister of Jardine exhaust

Thanks! That bracket appears to be solidly mounted to the can, correct? I'll have to stare at this a while and think up a way to tuck that under the bike farther, while still keeping a fairly rigid mount.

I guess this is a subject that I either have to talk to about over the phone or in person. As this is a more in depth look at the logic behind our unit. What people don’t understand is that our unit is NOT a piggy back. You still maintain the learning capabilities of the stock ECU. We don’t mess with the TPS or MAP sensors. These are all important values that are used from the stock ECU. Changing these would be like reinventing the wheel. All we do is modify the stock pulse width. Its not a standalone unit or a piggy back or even a re-flash. It uses load based logic that no one else has even thought of yet, and that’s not even the technology that will be coming out soon. We will be having a new system come out that is its own dedicated closed AFR targeting. This I will have to call you or see you in person. What is you schedule like in the next week or so? I still want to go over things with you as I spoke about before.

So this thing isnt a piggyback? What kind of load sensor are they using if its not a bap, map,is it a inertia sensor?sounds like another remus to me.I think this setup from what it sounds like changes impulse values and o2 values to make the computer learn itself so it doesnt freak out.Im on to better things like xb9s software.Id rather have full control of the whole computer than to be tricking it with new load sensors.Im keeping it basic .To me new stuff means more new electrical junk.

Rob, I hope this is a pertinent question. What form of tuning will this be? In the form of adjustment pots, laptop input, etc? It looks like simple push button inputs. Also how much range will it have and will all RPM ranges be tunable? From what we have heard in your and others posts it looks promising. Will the average rider be able to do the tuning himself and would a dyno be necessary or advisable? One last question, sorry, How will you see a result of the tuning? Thanks much, this is an interesting thread. Bob

Hi I just got done talking with Chris Neely of Jardine;
cneely@jardineproducts.com (look at past posts). Please call 951 739-5900 Jardine Sales for specifics(Exhaust, supersport fender kit and Jardine pro tune 3 tuning card) and ask for info/details/price.
Jardine Pro-tune 3 ajdustible Tuning card should be around $310 MSRP and available within 3-4 weeks!, and I use it and its worth it, believe me and tell them Rob the Buell specialist sent ya.

Also Jardine together with Mark Dobeck(Dobeck Performance and another company are working on a closed looped system now(playing with timing/Air/Fuel ratio's,etc.), much pricier for serious/racing applications with extensive mods like cams, pistons, etc. Please call for info/details/price on that new system and all your questions.
Thanks and I will keep you all in the loop on any other new product/info. Please Send feedback to me and Jardine.

AFV's have changed for me slightly.
Stock, no mods 100/100 F/R
Solenoid removed, K&N filter 105/100
Jardine SS/Carbonfiber 110.5/100

Each change, at least 200 miles to the next one. It's opened up some and requires more fuel now, but still getting an average of about 40-42 mpg @ 70 mph. It seems to go up to around 50-55 mpg @ 60 mph.
Last tankful, 36.3 mpg, but had at least 4 or 5 blasts up over 125 mph, so that had some effect on fuel mileage.

Hey Tony good luck with the Pro-tune card(around $310 MSRP i was told by Chris Neely) and did you get the exhaust also? or have the HMF? I was the first to have it installed and got great results as mine was used for testing/feedback. I will be bringing it back in soon for more info/tuning and when I have the new K&N air filter installed/airbox removed, etc.
Thanks for the feedback and info. Contact me and I can try to send/email PDF of instructions that go with Pro-Tune 3 card fuel controller(Nice pics of my bike used for instructions, 09 1125CR)

I'm guessing that, in the above dyno chart, the Blue (stock) run is a run with the Jardine exhaust, but without the Pro tune 3 card?

Then the Red (Base Map14) run is with the Pro tune 3 card without adjustments?

Then the Green(Protune) run is with the Pro tune 3 card adjusted?

That's a guess, it would be nice to see some clarification to exactly what we are looking at in that chart.

The reason I am guessing all three runs are with the Jardine exhaust installed is because of the two dips in the torque curve that are not present on any stock exhaust 1125r dyno run that I have seen.

If my assumptions are correct it would be great to see an actual box stock OEM muffler run overlay included with these runs.

Also Rob, do you have anyway of determining the A/F ratio on those runs. They(dyno runs) look quite good and with the Protune are they adjustable as it inferred in the ad? I'm more interested in richning things up then more H.P. To see tuning instructions would be great for potential buyers. Thanks for your working with Jardine on this project with their new pipe/muffler. Bob

Hi Bob and all I would refer you all to Jardine, Chris Neely: cneely@jardineproducts.com or sales 909 717-5302. He can better answer questions. I am still waiting to do another dyno run as my bike is breaking in and first oil change done. That dyno was on my bike with under 500miles and should be stock also, but dont know if it is without Jardine exhaust. I will have to ask.

As far as A/F ratios i did not know of these and I did let them know for future dyno runs and maybe I can possibly check them on my own as it is setup. The modes are adjustable to a point and at the standard base mode is probably the best with just an exhaust and Air Filter(K&N) mod.
I am sending instructions to Bob since its too big and lengthy for the forum.

Thanks for your comments and feedback.
