My battery never gets fully charged even after long drives and the low batt light lights up. When i charge it overnight with my charger the voltage reads 13 volt which tells me the battery is fine but something else is wrong. But what?

A few here have had stators go bad. Take it to your dealer.

What RPM's do you typically ride at? How long are your trips? What year and model? WHat is the voltage across the battery when the engine is running?

Take it to the dealer ! If everything is working fine the battery light should never come on . I just had my stator and regulator replaced ....

Keep the bike on a battery tender when not in use, it will prolong the life of the battery

My brand new 1125CR had a bad battery. Took it to the dealer this morning and they replaced it, no charge.

My battery light comes on prior to startup, but goes away a few seconds after starting. Definitely take it to the dealer if it's on while you're riding.
