Sad day, all of us here in the UK wish Erik and his team the best - I have no intentions of ever selling my 1125R and I just hope parts can be obtained for the next decade.

I cant see HD allowing the patents that Erik has generated being let go and the Buell name being used, listen to Erik's words - he will still be working for HD.
That sentence tells us all something, although I would wish for the company to be restarted I can't see that happening - perhaps we will see an HD Sportsbike in the future using more of Erik's ideas but in the meantime we are screwed, I am sure HD would prefer not to even have to carry Buell parts in the future but I understand that they have to by USA law.
Hope we can still get parts here in the UK easily.

Ouch...
I hope Court is right, and the dream is still alive.
I hope this does result in better opportunities opening up, even as the old doors close.
...but that video sure did look like someone had just had their lifelong dream crushed underneath a falling bottom line.
Seriously... it's up there with, "Old Yeller".

It's a real Underdog's Underdog.

As a long time Honda owner (Superhawk, RC51, CBR954) I want to thank Erik and the entire Buell family for producing such as great streetbike. One test ride is all it took to realize Buell built the bike I had been looking for. I voted with my hard earned dollar and bought a 2008 1125R and I will cherish your hard work and dedication for many rides to come.

HD, what are you thinking? Your customer base is ageing quickly and Buell was your only leverage into a more youthful market. How long can you sell the same cruisers to the same customers?

I loved my bike before, but now I REALLY love it. I will never get rid of it (unless Erik comes back with a vengeance somewhere.}
