What's the hot combo for parts now that these water cooled monsters have been around for a few years? Any one out there riding around on 150 OR 160 rear wheel HP? If so what's the recipe for that cake? I'm a old school pushrod man and don't know much about hot roding the 1125.......

Not a lot for performance mods internally yet. Your current options are K&N air filter, exhaust and tuning the ECM. Mine peaked at 128 hp at the wheel with just the air filter. I'm building my own exhaust from 304 SS, closest match for sound is the one made by bob_thompson.

In this order (provided your plugs aren't fried)

custom tuning
K&N Air filter
Exhaust
Those will get you to about 145 RWHP (vs 125 stock).

Reading up on the 1125RR mods will give you an idea of engine mods. Pistons, rods, cams, valves.

Finally, an overbore (i've heard that's tough on this engine) and race ECM and dual stage shower head injectors (the Magnetti ECM allows for this).

The bike could hit 170+ with the appropriate mods, and maybe 180 with an overbore to 1200

Well 140 is still pretty good, so there's no head porting gurus out there yet, like Cyclerama, Baisley, NRHS,or Branch yet? How about cams? What about the overbore, how much can it take? 2-3mm?

Cycle Rama would likely be eager to work their magic on a set of 1125 heads. They have done a LOT of work on Japanese engines, in fact that was their bread and butter before entering the H-D/Buell market so many years ago.

+ 10 Jillion on Cycle Rama. They KNOW what they are doing...Wes did a head for me that went on a 740cc engine...that bike went low 10's on motor...mid 9's with a touch o fog ; )

One of these days I'll take Jezebel over for a workout on the dyno treadmill...

So Wes probably is brewing up something for the 1125???? I'll bet it'll be good, never heard anything bad about the head work from down there........

you guys are getting 125-128HP stock to the wheel? wow mine must be doing pretty well dyno'ed fully stock at 134.6 HP and 77.4 ft/lbs. then i drilled some holes in the air box "humps" were the air filter sits and modded the exhaust and the dyno'ed at 135.2 HP/ 78.9 ft/lbs 500 rpm lower on the TQ side and 1200 rpm higher on HP side. i also have a custom UNI filter installed as well, but no dyno of that mod yet.

We will rebuild the engine this winter to stage II, the parts will be available for sale..

Stage II Heads, pistons, BigBore Kit and reprogrammed ECM

The Problem is that the best way to do this is to first blue print the engine.. We did that for stage I last winter and raced a whole season without a problem.

Every winter we go 1 stage further to keep monitoring the stress on he engine, so far so good. 1 race season with the 1000CC bikes this season and no engine problems..

Depending on the powerband we want to achieve, we will modified the cylinder heads, valves, size and chape of the chamber of the cylinder head for race use.

Easyrider, no Dis, but that's a pretty generic answer, shape it how and use what size valves? port it how? Will you use a flowbench and what specs are you talking about???????

186, we will, only i wrote (We will rebuild the engine this winter to stage II) Then I will have a anwser for you, sorry until then only paperwork.

Measuring will make the choices. And when i dyno the bike we will see, if we made the right choices.. Then we also will write a article about what we did and why we made these choices.

The article will look like this one:

http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp?aid=62

only is going about the stage II tuning only

Easy - Any word on your headers? Will they be for sale this coming year? If so what muffler will work with it, TH only or others too? Finally any dyno sheets on the headers? They look great!

Easy: Sounds good, keep up the work, development of an engine is no easy task, and EXPENSIVE also. Sometimes I forget this being a new engine all the tricks aren't known yet..............
