Wow dude you're way behind the times. Do a search, there are tons of pics available. This is a street fairing, not used on the race bikes. It was used for the AMA pace bikes tho.

Does anyone know if there is a piece that will mount to the bottom of the Buell fairing? I agree it needs something for the under side especially if you are running a Jardine or similar pipe.

ditto, Snow.

Anyone out there see any fairings that start just below the pods? Kinda like a flyscreen for the engine, or a (gasp)... chin fairing?

David(Nadz), there is another one out there which I have from Catalyst composites. See my profile. It is called their Supersport lower and sells for $226.00. Its fiberglass, which I prefer, and not ABS plastic. Quite a few choices now. I DO like full faired sport bikes. Bob

I received mine yesterday and installed it straightaway.

full fairing 1

full fairing 2

full fairing 3

Workmanship on the fairings is superb. The instructions made it easy to i.d. which of the 4 brackets go where on the engine.

full fairing 4

Left side installation process resulted in a flawless fit. Right side was very good, but I was uncomfortable with having one header pipe in hard contact with the thin insulation inside the right fairing (this is abs, after all, an amorphous polymer that softens as the temperature rises). So I fitted a half-inch thick round steel spacer between the bracket and the engine mounting point. This created about 3/8" of airspace between the insulation and the header.

Man what a difference that kit makes. Like a whole new looking bike. I wonder if they will start selling these with them on from the factory next year? Wish I could fit on one!

I agree with snowscum (I'm afraid to ask abou the name!) : ). I added the fairings for resale value only; I prefer the R with the pods and 2010 decals. But it's well-established (yup, the second post I've used that phrase in) that a common objection to the R's styling is the pronounced pods. With the kit (which fits over the pods; the pod shell is not removed) one doesn't realize that the pods are even there.
