I am fitting aftermarket rear turn signals as I have gone through 2 OEM indicators in two weeks and I also want smaller ones that I can mount on the reg. plate as I'm going to fit luggage.
Problem is that when I fit the new signals they flash too fast, including the ones built into the mirrors - do I need to fit resistors to just the rear ones or do I need to add them to the stock fronts too ?

Adding ballast to the rears should suffice.
Odd since the both are already LEDs.

My signals in the XBLights integrated tail flash normally.

It sounds like the new signals are drawing less current, causing the rapid flashing.
A different turn signal flasher should fix the problem.
Americansportbike.com offers one for $20 part #16086.

The American Sport Bike flasher is your best bet if it bothers you. Some LEDs already have a resistor to compensate for the load.

The rapid flashing is a DOT requirement to notify a rider/ driver that one of the turn signals is not operating.

I'm also tired of having to replace OEM parts (only blinkers so far).

Though the fast blinking doesn't bother me enough to worry about slowing it down.

I'm confused. The American Sport Bike site says specifically that the 16086 flasher relay is *not* for the 1125 series. Is there an available relay that is, or is there a known value resistor I could wire into the replacement front signals on my 1125CR?

Thanks much!
