Blake,
I posted this topic to try and bring out the positives of the bike on a deal with a sponsor that had more issues than I could list. So I never posted anything negative about that sponsor, I was trying to post positive comments to turn the situation around.
Then Ft_bstrd posts his "facepalm" pic like I did something wrong. Ft, you should post that on your office door after the deal a few weekends ago.
If you have an issue with what I post, just tell me about it. If you want to call me an idiot by saying I am posting "thought provoking" titles, then I would be happy to compare education with you anytime.
No need to take your frustrations out on someone on the board.
If you have a "God" complex because you run a simple forum on the internet that takes about 5 minutes to set up, that is another issue.
I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone here and I thank you for all you have taught me along the way on the 1125r for sure. I suspect this will be my last post before Blake drops the BAN hammer, so again, thanks for helping me make the decision on the Buell everyone.

Jpowell, why don't you just take the advice Blake gave you? I agree, the title of this thread leaves much to be desired.
Oh BTW, I would like to see you set up this forum in 5 minutes...now THAT'S insulting. Don't you play GOD with the IT users at the company you work for? |

Yeah...as an IT professional for the past 24 years, I can vouch for the fact that just registering a domain name takes longer than five minutes.
Then you have to procure the hardware & software, have a circuit pulled in, keep up with patches and updates, not to mention dealing with outages, lags, and hacking attempts....the list goes on. It's a boat load of work.
On top of it all, you poke a little fun at a user who is taking advantage of your system (free of charge) and they get offended by it.
The way I see it, everyone has a right to their opinion. If I say something that ticks someone off (and I do that a lot), then they have two choices....1) Get over it or 2)Forever think I'm an a$$hole. I could care less either way. One thing I firmly believe in is should you have a disagreement with someone, try to do so without being disagreeable. If Blake offended you with his comment, a little PM to him saying very nicely "Hey Blake, your comment was offensive to me. Would it be too much to ask if you deleted it?" would have avoided this topic hijack.
That's just my .02 worth. Free advice is worth everything you pay for it. |
