You referred to "the manufactures announcement that it's value is higher as a end table." There is no such announcement or comparison. The statement only claimed that it made a good end table. That's it. Nothing more. Your claim that there was a statement concerning relative value untrue. You then state that "it says it in the ad". The ad states no such thing. The ad makes no statement whatsoever concerning "value." You are seeking through falshoods to belittle and malign Buell. You are not being honest. We don't appreciate that here. BadWeB is a Buell enthusiasts forum and we don't tolerate dishonest attacks against Buell Motorcycle Company. There are plenty of honest ways to attack them. Alrighty then? Thats unfair, there is likely no wrong or right answer as everyone differs in interpretation. This thread started with a reference to Can It Get Any More Bizarre? by dean adams Thursday, July 30, 2009 When we were first shown this earlier in the week, we assumed that it was a hack of the Buell web site or a spoof site or, well, something. Because no legitimate motorcycle manufacturer would build and sell a model of motorcycle, purport it to be a motorcycle that consumers should buy, and then later publicly confess that it was a pile and should be crushed. Would they? Especially one with a legal team that looks over PR before it is released, right? Apparently so. Yes, I made an assumption in my annalist as most manufactures tout their new model year improvements and not the weakness of past years. Yes it hit a nerve with me as a past Blast owner my first Buell that sold four me four more after that my first thought was for those that currently have one. I have sold dozens of Buells over the years while talking at tracks and gas stations. I still promote the X-Bikes as the most fun bike per dollar to be had. Go back over the years and no one defended Buell or waved the flag higher than me. Concerning the 2010 Blast Im not a lone wolf in thinking it may not be the smartest marketing move to treat one of your very own products in such a way. Just an opinion not a fact. Just let it die no need to dance on its grave as some people just recently laid out money for them. | ||

It rises to the point of falsehood, a kind way of saying "lies". Brad, you just told two falsehoods in order to try to cast Buell in a very poor light and now you are whining that... " You made a blatantly false assertion, then you made another blatantly false statement to try to defend your first falsehood. You were then shown the untruth of your statements. That is "unfair"? What is unfair is your poor understanding of truth and your complete and utter lack of integrity in a debate. Brad, you've made false statements and have been shown that they are untrue. An honorable person would apologize and recant and affirm the truth. A dishonorable person would not, seeking instead to deflect and wiggle out from the issue. Which will you be Brad? Personal character, honor, and integrity are very important in life. When you mis-speak, simply admit it. That actual issue of discussion is ridiculously minor and inconsequential. We simply cannot allow dishonest debate here as it becomes a blight on the integrity of the forum. People here need to understand that if they falsely attack Buell that they will be held to account. Funny ad. If it wasn't a joke, I'd agree that turning on last years model isn't a great way to advertise the brand. Since it clearly IS a joke, I suspect some of the reactions here are down to malfunctioning humour chips... Hopefully they are covered under warranty, otherwise these damaged units are basically write-offs. | ||

i dont know anything about this brad fellow or anyone else here....and i dont care what you've said in the past or whatever. but maybe he changed his mind, i dont know, it doesnt affect me. just want to make it clear that the fellow above made a silly comment saying that you arent an enthusiast if you dont agree with the masses. i like both of my buells. i cant wait to ride my street buell on tuesday. i cant wait to race my buell this coming up weekend. i like buells. but i dont think its the end-all-be-all bike or company thats never done any wrong. | ||

People are not kicked off here that often. But what happens is they just can't stand the heat anymore, and the collective hate of the board discourages them from posting as much. That's the beauty of negative feedback. Taking Ducdood9 as an example, I think that the frequency of his provocative posting has dropped dramatically since he joined the board. He's coming under the influence of our mass mentality... soon he'll be Buelldood10 (after his next birthday)... MUHAHAHAHA! | ||

Excuse me, but who ever, anywhere, ever made any such a ridiculous claim, even without the poor grammar? By making such a statement it would seem that the author is implying that some folks are indeed claiming that... "(Buell motorcycles) are the end-all-be-all bikes or that (Buell) has never done any wrong." LOL. It's kind of like walking down the street and shouting out defiantly to the world that... Sure there have been lots of posters "banned". 1. There was that guy with the thong avatar but he got kicked off because he didn't want to change the avatar. 2. DYNA never got kicked off but got so pissed because not everyone wanted to bash Buells he left. 3. BuellTroll or whatever the guy with the wheelie obsession was gone for a while but finally came back. 4. M2me went to Sacborg because he kept going personal attack on the political threads and quit in a fit. 5. Rocket hated the 1125R so much that he self destructed. It is so easy to see it coming anymore. They write something they consider provocative and then get indignant that anyone would disagree. They work on getting even more upset until they say "I'm gone, this my last post", etc, etc... Months later they are back. Only the mods know if there have been bans. | ||

The list of the "banned" is very short. There are several who would not agree to the rules of the board and felt that they could not comply with them and elected VOLUNTARILY not to continue to participate. Most recent example: Old_man. He was suspended for a week. Once the suspension was lifted, he elected not to return. UNDERSTAND, there is a SIGNIFICANT discussion between the custodians regarding "troubled" posters before ANY action is taken. We are the checks and balances for each other. One of us may have taken something out of context, so we have the others to review the situation and advise. Sometimes the answer is "strap on your big girl panties and let it go". Other times, it's "you have a legitimate concern". We give EVERY person the option to moderate their behavior. THEY choose not to. We don't care whether or not you agree with someone or not. We DO care whether your disagreement comes with personal attacks and generally makes the world of BW a lesser place. | ||
