Took delivery of a new (march 08 build) 1125r today from Blackbear in the UK. This is only the 2nd one they have sold since the 1125 has been on sale! Unbelievable...

They have done a really good job of getting this bike ready for me and have performed the following tweaks:-

2009 dash unit fitted
ECM flashed with latest firmware
Modified dipstick fitted with correct measurements
Side stand spring replaced
Tank breather vent re-routed to the rear left foot peg
2009 clutch cover fitted

They have also replaced both rear indicators AND have supplied me with two new spare units just in case something happens on the road.

Done almost 100 miles on it already and im really pleased. The CityX was good but this is better :-)

Congrats Man!

100 miles - it gets better and better, the motor really comes into a smoother and stronger tune the more miles you rack up.

Weather in Cambridgeshire doesn't look too bad for this weekend- SO GET BUSY RIDING!!

Cheers!

Couldn't agree more. Enjoy the new ride.

Good on you dude!

I couldn't find anybody here (Virginia, USA) to let me test ride one until right before the Buell 25th anniversary. I finally talked a dealer into letting me. WOW! I needed a hydraulic press to get the smile off my face. Bought one a month later. I have had zero trouble with it. As we say down South, it runs like a scalded dog! Enjoy!

Did your 1125r need the clutch shaft jet rework? Thats where they put the brass plug (with a hole for a jet) into the end of the clutch shaft to maintain oil for the gears.

Besides that ride it and have fun!!!!

No mention of that from the mechanic when he gave me a run down on what work had been done on it prior to delivery....

Is it something I need to take up at the first service?

The trans jet is the ONLY safety recall for the 1125R(08s).

Racked up 200 miles on the R today. Crikey. It goes alright doesn't it...

Might have accidentally got carried away whilst chasing another bike down a country lane.... Meant to be running it in :-(
