23.9 hp and 10.9 tq gain!!! All I can say is wow. If the sound wasn't enough to make you cream your pants, than those numbers will. Looks like this is going to be a must have for any 1125R owner.

Any word on $$cost$$ yet?

The best stock run we got was 116hp

Okay, this puts the stock run in the realm of "normalcy," and the dyno is reported to be 10HP on the conservative side. The math genius in me equates the best stock run to be equivalent to appx. 126HP on a "normal" dyno. This is a well accepted figure for a stock 1125r.

So looking at the Drummer dyno run and adding 10HP puts it at 143HP. This equates to a 17HP difference, which is staggering considering that others haven't increased the power by much more than a couple ponies.

Honestly, even getting the 133HP, 76TQ would be acceptable. Any chance the Drummer can be dynoed on what would be considered a more "normal" dyno?

No one around me has a dyno unfortunately. I would have to go either way north or way south to get to a more "normal" dyno.

But, in all fairness I am a little concerned with the numbers from this dyno.

well as has been stated a few times. the 109 is NOT the high stock number. the highest stock run is 116, which is only 5 (mine and another were in the 121/122 range) lower than the two 1125's that have been on my dyno here. those were back to back at our dyno shootout

the 133 is the high number for the drummer runs.


so taking that into account, i dont really think there is that much discrepency. thats why im trying to get people to notice that the 116 is the high run in stock form not the 109. we do need a chart showing that 116 run though.

Here is the best stock versus best Drummer runs on the dyno.



Here is five back to back runs, done today. The weather was crappy, but the bike is consistent.



Not as good but still pretty respectable. Sorry for the pic quality, I need a good scanner.

Consistent?

Why, on the runs today you have a 7hp spread high to low the first run is way off the others.

The only thing consistent are the three around 124, after the first run.
I would have to ask myself - is something changing after the first run?

Something's not smelling very good here.
I have a guess, but I'll keep to myself.

Using conservative numbers, by my figgerin, that's a 13% increase with no other mods.

Holy Crap.

Particularly since the rest of the market makes modest or no increase.

Any way you slice it, that is amazing.

116 to 124 HP is a realistic improvement for a slip on exhaust. as is 68TQ to 74TQ. I believe that's what we are dealing with here. It's very impressive IMO.

What I like as much as anything is how much the curve smooths out with the Drummer AND how the improvement is over the entire range. We are not just talking top end HP at the expense everywhere else in the curve.

As far as I can tell. WELL DONE. And I am keeping my place in line for a Drummer (assuming the cost is reasonable.)

For comparison, and I'm not trying to take anything away from Kevin's pipe (I've owned a drummer and loved it) but just for comparison:

stock '08 1125r with only ecm calibration changes on Teach's bike:

+ 9 - 10HP (134.67 peak)
+ 7-8 Ft. lbs of torque. (77.83 peak)
And it looks like we are up 14-15 HP at 8K
And we're no where near done, just developing the base calibration.

Stock baselines before we started programing it were around 124-126 HP and around 70 ft.lbs

so basically what i am understanding, is that you can spend time tuning a stock bike and make some more power and still have something that sounds like a sewing machine.

or you can bolt on a pipe and not touch it again and more than likely make the same power maybe more and have something that sounds just plain evil...

now see, what i more plan on is both. i really dont care what kind of numbers this thing makes(well that would be a lie, smoother and bigger power is always welcome) but it wont be stock for ever. i will put the pipe on and think its a great thing i am sure because i have never been disapointed with a drummer yet.

i will enjoy the power gain and flog the bike probably atleast this season.

then once all this tuning stuff ACTUALLY gets figured out it will go in for massive tuning just like my 9 had done.

soooo... basically the way i look at this pipe is that it gives me an AMAZING base to build off of in the future.

FWIW, I'm not buying this thread's content as credible yet.

Buell might just have to shelve their full system as I cannot imagine them making such claims of increase on a stock 08 1125R?

Maybe the original dyno run was done on an ill 11? Was a warranty addressed? Maybe the dyno was ill that day? Is it now ok? What are the pre/post AFV's...or was there another flash involved? And on and on...please help the techs understand.

What information is missing herein? I do not believe in fairy tales, magic and/or b.s. info.

Please flame/defend with technical information, supporting what is being "advertised"...or have we forgotten the original D&D pipe, along with many others, that have now slowed production, due to real world (outside) testing.

So, 109HP on the stock pipe goes to 115 or 116 since the shock and awe of the original (low stock, high Drummer) dyno runs comparison.

133HP of the Drummer goes to 123 or 124 or 130 ?

There is a 10HP discrepancy on the conservative side with the dyno.

Is that discrepancy only on the stock run as it seemed unusually low ? Was it 10HP high yesterday ?

Maybe it's time to do some more runs stock vs Drummer so people looking for more power have a better understanding of what they are paying for.

The tuning IS proven. Period. Few only know of it and that is intentional.

THE DYNO IS CONSERVATIVE... Even so, the numbers are impressive for just a pipe and NO other mods.
