Got this e-mail from Lisa at K&N today. Hopefully, as she stated, we will have these available soon.

"It looks like the prototype tooling is being produced in the Machine Shop. Once there is a prototype filter made we will do dyno testing and seal testing. If it doesn’t product horsepower or doesn’t seal then we will make some revisions. If all goes well then we will get ready to produce the filter".

"This is a tricky filter so it is taking a little bit longer to make. Hopefully not too much longer". "www.lisaw@knfilters.com"

You have one of the models that can be made to work like several here have done for the last year.

This is one that is specifically made for the 1125R/CR.

Dunno about that one, Buelltech. K&N said they would be very wary of using a filter from another application due to possible sealing issues. With the way those huge throttle bodies suck and what's at stake (your engine), I held off personally. I would guess even the slightly imperfection would be exposed due to the sheer volume of air being sucked.

I have been tempted to modify one of the other KN models like others have done on the site, but have held off for the same reasons that Fresnobuell mentioned.

+2...I'm still running OEM filter for the same reason. Every time I take off the inner airbox cover, the amount of sand and grit in there is shocking. I am not willing to risk any of that getting past the filter.

BT6 - what model # is the filter you picked?
I wasn't too impressed with cutting the seal edge on the model others were using - from a Toyota I beleive.
