Well I got a free D&D courtesy of a donation of vendor D&D to American Sport Bike.

Basically at Al's yearly raffle my ticket got called last and I would like to thank all the people whose tickets were called before mine for leaving the D&D to my greedy clutches.

I had a baseline Dyno ran before installing the pipe today.

I will be getting another Dyno run probably next week for the post install run.

So my question to the other D&D owners is who has gotten pulled over for a loud pipe? I have not yet but I was just wondering.

Krash, yours are the first pics of the D&D that would allow me to consider buying one, on the basis of appearance and the straight-thru nature of the muffler (like the Yoshis I'm used to; thanks for that. I'm a firm believer in the adage "loud pipes save lives", too.

Separate: Corbin seat, which Corbin has emailed me and advised even a modified XB seat can cause electrical shorts on the 1125r. How are you finding that, and is the change more comfortable, useful, whatever over the stocker?

Separate: let's hear more about that luggage. I'm not much on panniers, because I'm a 'white liner' in stop-and-go traffic; but that pillion box looks right for me.

I have had absolutely no issues with electrical shorts what so ever with the corbin seat. The seat coupled with the 1" drop billet XBS peg mounts make the bike much more comfortable for me.

I have kept the stock seat for track days as it is easier to slide around.

The top bag is a Ztechnik that I mounted to a stock pillion seat pan (sans padding).

I white line here in Southern California with the complete setup and have no issues. The side bags are Chase Harper.

Thanks Sly, I just did a Inside Pass on Oct. 2nd so I had the opportunity to minimize the tire strips.

Oh and the bottom of the Corbin seat pan is plastic, not sure how that is going to cause shorts.

One thing I can tell you is there have been people on here who have tried and ordering from Corbin for the 1125R and Corbin would not sell them one.

You can remove the front bumpers on the Corbin as they serve no purpose on the 1125R like they do on the XBR.

Also I had to tweak the rear mounting brackets on the Corbin to get the holes to line up.

If you were to order one I would order one for a XB12R so they do not try and say no to the sale of one for the 1125R.

"I would order one for a XB12R so they do not try and say no to the sale of one for the 1125R"; and from the email I received from Corbin, that's the reason for the situation with ordering: "With an unrecommended modification (removal of bumpers) our seat could fit on the 1125R but you do run the risk of not only damaging your paint but shorting the engine out as well due to the mounting brackets."

Sounds like they have a bunch of rocket scientists working at Corbin. I thought they were in the business of SELLING seats? Maybe I am way off base.

I can't understand Corbin's issues.
I had a Buell XBR "tour/select" seat waiting on the bench when Loretta was delivered.
I put it and the heated grips on after a 20 mile ride, the day she was delivered..

12,940+ miles since, on both with NO issues.
BTW, been turning the grips on the last week now, sure glad I got them..

+1 on the Buell replacement seat.

Forget the Corbin ... no noticeable improvement over stock ... unless you want a purple one with gold strips.

Krassh, haven't got yanked yet for sound, but I'm about to move into my new home in a town that had lot's of trouble with tuner car racers so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW that must be D&D's baffle I'm seeing?? If you could do some of us a favor when you can get to it and pull it out and grab some pics of it. Thanks and enjoy!!

No problems w/ police yet. I even work at the police station and park where the cops park in the back lot... no problems there either. BTW my wife also followed me to the the harley dealer. I asked her how it sounded from in her car. She says its fine and is not as loud as you'd think from within an enclosed vehicle.

If you do get stopped by a police, I would turn it off before he walks up to it though : D

i also have a d&d exhaust i made a baffle for it thanks to the help of Bob Thompson . I took the high pitch away and left me with a deeper throaty sound and i love it. I tell u its nice to be heard people actually look around to see what the hell it is. Which makes me visible i wish i would have done that to my other bikes over the years Safe Riding Lionel

What pegs are those, and where did you pick them up? Will they fare better dropping the bike? The stockers seem to snap VERY easy!

From what I understand, either the XB12S or Ulysses pegs will create a 1" drop. I'm gonna go with the Uly ones.

They are a little pricey. $99 just for the drop mounts but are worth it. I low sided on the right side and all it did was scuff the edge of the peg.

The mounts are available through Al & Joann Lighton at American Sport Bike. They are 1" billet drop mounts that accept LSL full round or scalloped pegs.

You would have to do a lot of damage to come close to snapping these off.

And Carbonbigfoot, you are mistaken, it's the XB-S pegs that will fit on the R's and drop them 1", but they are cast pieces just like the OEM R pegs, and snap VERY easy, unlike what Krassh has above.

Actually the Uly pegs will work as well and they are much more sturdy.

You 100% sure? It's been said that they will not work, because the mounting 'tab' is a quarter inch thinner than the XB-S/R pegs.

I have seen posts on this board since I bought my XB9S in 2003 where there pegs snapped just standing on them.

Does not necessarily require a crash but good advise.

The XB drop pegs may require some filing, not the Uly pegs tho.

There's about a 1/8" gap in the receiver when you stick a Uly peg on.
Spring and gravity keep it in the right spot tho.

I've had them on Loretta since before the trip to Homecoming.
Made the trip to Texas with OEM pegs, trip with the Uly ones was much more comfy.
I'm 5' 10" and 160# with gear.

Longest day on the trip to Texas was 600 miles, coming back from Homecoming, I had a 900+ day.

It is what comes with the pipe I would not call it a baffle but I guess it is. It is just perforated pipe with packing around the outside of it.

Thanks Krassh, I found ,while moving this week, an old D&D for my S-1 that has a baffle that looks a lot like the one in yours. That old pipe was a slip-on that looked like a force except for the removable end cap, it looks like the same size so I'm gonna take it out and try it in this one to see if there is any difference in sound. When it was on the S-1,before the hanger weld broke, it wasn't very loud just a nice rumble. And the experimenting goes on.
