The aluminum exhaust is out or at least on ebay. Anyone running one?? sound clips if so. Or a review. New flash and new exhaust would be nice!!

Hit - if/when you get it on, can you please post up some sound clips? I'm dying to hear this pipe.

I LIKE THE WAY IT SOUNDS ON THE OTHER TWINS. I am slightly concerned about the clearance. They have said it is fine from the R&D. So its ordered.

I will post when it's on Im thinking early to mid week next...

Did this once already for someone, lol:

And my original comments, which still stand:

Really looks like no noticeable change in power, which is good enough for me. No holes with better sound.

I hope the a/f ratio is still good.

The Jardine looks to smooth out the stock torque curve a bit, despite having a little lower reading around 6500rpm. Seeing as how this pipe is never more than 2 ft/lbs higher or lower than the stocker, I'd say the bike will feel exactly the same.

I agree with the not very change in power. I'm looking for a better sound at this point. The clearance looks good for the track (at least by the Pictures) And for the Price.....not so bad until a Buell tuned exhaust or something better comes out.

hit - no problem. Someone else had sent me the original file - it's pretty big and super high-quality, so you have to resize it and lower the quality before you can post it up.

I'm in the same boat as you - not looking for more power, just a nicer, fuller, deeper sound.

I'm assuming that this graph was done with the old ECM calibration, so it is obsolete.
We need to see this with the new ECM calibration installed, compared to stock with the new cal..

How is this obsolete? From what I've read, the issue was with low rpm, slow speed, low throttle surging. This dyno was done at WOT. I'm betting the readouts would be exactly the same (within reason).

Yes, from dyno results pre and post flash the upper rev range seems to be untouched.

Took a bit of hunting to locate http://www.jardineproducts.com/products/productID/ 1108 ; it's a credit to Buell's own muffler design that swapping it for a conventional straight-through muffler yields no significant power increase, only lighter weight (I'm assuming) and more noise. Did someone mention price? My quick glance doesn't indicate one.

Does anyone know for sure what all was changed in the calibration? I'll guarantee it's more than just the mapping. Granted, the top end power seems to be the same, I agree, but I am more interested in the areas I use most often on the street, and in the full shape of the curves.

Riding the stock bike after THIS reflash - feels totally different in the low and midrange ( way better).

I would also expect similar results this time around, but without some actual data comparisons again it's a guess. Could be better, could be worse.

Red - MSRP for the aluminum can is $500. Carbon fiber and Titanium is $600. Expect to pay less in the real world.

With both the stock and jardine exhaust so similar, Would it even change all that much as far as the new map goes. It seems logical to me the 2 are so close that the bike wouldn't even notice the change?

Just a thought here guys: even though I have made my own exhaust with a turbo muffler, I have on the stocker until I get the latest flash, soon, and its really good, I must add that the stock exhaust is great for all rpm's horsepower and as Zac4mac and I have done opening up the stocker,(see previous posts on this), its got great sound also. Not much need to spend a lot of money on an aftermarket exhaust. If you do not mind the "look" of the stocker stick with it and enjoy. Bob

This is likely the case at WOT, but the curves may not be so close at other throttle openings.

I don't think this exhaust will really effect the misxture all that profoundly.

What I want from the exhaust is something that rumbles quietly at idle and roars when you stand on it.
That's all.

Got the first, still looking for the second.

At 9000 miles seems like my stock exhaust is getting louder as it wears in. Sounds much better now.

Could be, but I swear it's louder. Of course it could just be the valve train noise is so much less, I can now hear the exhaust!

Hitman - could you make sure they get A/F values with the dyno run? It sure would be nice to know that since the curve are so close that the mixture is as well.
