FWIW, we took a basically stock 1125R on the Salt this year and reached a speed of 161mph. Our focus was a different bike and to learn how the 1125R handled it.

If interested, the bike will be back in the demo fleet, available for lower speed riding, at High Country H-D/Buell starting with our open house, 13Sept.

Is the Salt at sea level?

Common mistake;

The fellow in the Popular Mechanics issue "assumed the Salt Flats were below sea level".

The elevation along the course is approximately 4,218 feet above sea level.

Salt also has more tire-slip than concrete/tarmac.

Stop in and say Hi to Dave(Sales) and me(Parts).
Gonna be a nice day here, come play.
