I would NOT replace the swingarm...

Just sand it down a bit and touch it up... that will SAVE you some $$$

Not bad though.. and its GOOD to see your OK.

> As for tires I am running Pilot Power Race take offs so I don't think that the tires had anything to do with it.

It might be related.

Race tires need to get really hot to be sticky. Run at a typical street air pressure, they would never get there.

Plus factor in that the afternoon Edmonton high temperature is only getting to the 50s (at least that is what I saw for Calgary in the paper a couple days ago.)

As for paint, it's my understanding that in many other countries that the paint be required to have the aggregate for safety reasons. Apparently in the western world we're more concerned about reflectivity than traction.

Hey we are sue happy in the USA so maybe a class action suite and they will go back paint. Plus get rid of those damn reflectors that are bumps on the highway.

I had a very similar accident about 6 and a half weeks ago. I got a wobble going after I came out of a corner and lost it. I think I was going about 50 and still in first gear. My damage is almost identical. Although I have the darkhorse moto sliders on the rear axle which saved it. I did crack the frame that holds the fairing along with the left headlight. My Arai profile helmet took quite a beating. I was wearing a long sleeved shirt, jeans, and gloves which got torn to hell. I ended up fracturing my thumb in the roll and spraining my ankle. Now I have my bike fixed and hope to start riding again tomorrow. I would agree that a steering stabilizer is need for this bike. I hope to get the one through Buell Racing soon.
