has anyone found out if there are any shorty levers that fit the 1125?

i have all my levers cut into 2 finger shortys. it works better with the pointer finger on my left hand not opening all the way. that way i can set the lever closer to the bar and not bump the rest of my fingers when i pull it in.

i just signed up with nesba and they say i HAVE to have a ball on the end of the lever to pass tech on august 3rd at mid america so i am running out of time. i am going to have to check availability of the stock levers when i get back to work monday.

they have some odd rules i have noticed reading through the manual. i some what understand wanting a ball on the end, but it will NOT stop it from piercing skin in a hard impact anyway. it just makes a bigger hole! but ends of my levers are damn near 3 inches in from the end of the bar.

Pazzo makes them. They have a couple of ads on ebay. A little pricey at $180 - I have it on 'watch this item' until my budget catches up.. : )

American Sport Bike says the CRG's for the XB don't fit the 1125r, doubt the pazzos fit.

I've got Pazzo Shorties on my 1125. They are excellent.

I contacted CRG on this about a month ago. At that time they had not decided to make levers for the 11. I suspect the Pazzo levers are spec'd for another type of bike, but also fit the 11. If that is true, knowing which bike would allow buying the CRG for that application also.

Crowley:

Do you happen to know the P/N's? Who did you get them from and, if you don't mind, how much.

The collective needs to know the details.

Thx

I'll look out the packaging next time I walk out to my Playpen. It's too dark and scarey at the moment. I'll check out the price but since I live in Blighty, I had to pay in Pounds Sterling.

The numbers on the Pazzo box are;

F14 and C777

One of my Buells does live in the house My other 3 and a half Buells live in a heated and carpeted workshop with my vintage race bikes

Thanks, Crowley. Those part #'s cross reference to several Kawasaki models on the Pazzo site. They fit ZX-9, ZX-7, ZRX-1100/1200, ZX-11, ZZR-1200 and the ZG-1000 Connie. They do not list a part number for the 11 on their site.

If you prefer CRG, then it would seem to me that purchasing the appropriate set for one of these bikes would also fit the 1125.

No guarantees... : )

Well, stick with the Pazzos. CRG does not list for any of these Kawasaki models either.

Adam:

You know that I was just giving you a hard time. My bikes are in an attached garage, no carpet though. If I get too scared, I just pack my Glock 27. Ooops, sorry you all can't do that over there. Here in TN, we are able to carry whenever we feel the need except, schools and gvm't offices.

So what are your vintage bikes?

Indeed I do have the Pazzos.

They are generally great. The biggest problem is that at full steering lock they tag the front fairing frame. They tag on the apex of the lever, so you can slightly engage the lever at full steering lock.

Turned to the right, it's no big deal. Turned full left it can get just enough front brake that at 1 or 2 mph it can dump you in a low speed high-side.

Otherwise, I love 'em.

Yep, our Govt only allows criminals to carry pistols now, however we are allowed to have sound moderators this makes my Ruger 10/22 almost silent with subsonic ammo. Nothing, but nothing silences my 7.62/.308

I've got nearly 20 old bikes (I think) and race things from a NorVin to my current favourite which is a early 40's JAP/Enfield that drinks Methanol and a few drops of Nitro if I want to liven it up a bit.
One day, my grandchildren may drag my old 1125 out of the shed to show their mates - many years after the piston engine has been banned by the Globular Warming Nazis

Re the levers.
Go with the Pazzos. I've got CRGs on a few of my other bikes and when I e-mithered CRG they could be arsed to send me a reply even though thet offer UKBEG members a healthy discount.
I can't see any difference in build quality between the two different makes and the Pazzo customer service(in the UK) is second to none - which is worth a lot

Mr Dugger, if your levers clip the fairing, I assume they're not of the short variety?
My short ones have no clearance issues at all.

It's the apex of the lever that causes the issue. Yes they are the shorties. Yes, the apex of the lever just does touch the fairing frame at full lock.

That's very strange? I see you live in Texas, perhaps because it's much hotter where you are, the levers expand in the heat

I use 2 on the clutch, 1 or 2 on the brake. You can fit 3 if you really want to. They are over an inch shorter than stock.

As for the second comment, yes the bike hit the ground, but the lever is just glare from the flash.
FYI the bike will not start in 1st gear w/o the clutch pulled in, but it WILL fire in 2nd w/o the clutch : (
