I love it! looks mean as shit! Also no detuned engine either. The swingarm has stand buttons on it and the blackout frame, parts and red brake look great.

I can't find many differences from the R except the obvious front fairing chopped off, the pegs/riding position seem the same except the bars are higher. hoping for a more upright ride so i can convince my dad to get it : )

I like it best (the 'CR') in Racing Red. Weight is spec'd the same as the 'R'.

Three colors now for the 'R'. Amazing how the balance of the bike's appearance changes with color. I think the new white is fine... : )

I'm sorry Buell engineers but that is not my cup of tea. I went the other way with these lowers from Catalyst Composites. As some here know I love full faired bikes.

Thats Bullsheet. You spend 11grand on a cafe racer/streetfighter and have to pay an extra 200.00+ dollars to get an upright riding position?? The pegs remain the same.

No, you spend 11 grand on a cafe racer with appropriate seating position. The company was nice enough to provide a factory-built option for you should you prefer a more upright riding position.

Phil(P_squared), the lowers are their 1125L supersport lowers and they have the cutout for the kickstand. I did cut a small amount more, about 1/4" for extra clearance. I fabbed aluminum brackets that mount to the bolts holding the radiator scoops on the bottom and two at the rear, then used Dzus fastners to secure the lowers. Glad you like it, not for everyone though. Bob

Bob, if you happen to be "bored" sometime before this winter, any chance you could PM me your parts list for the brackets, close-up pics, and any mounting pointers you can come up with?

Thinking this winter a lower is going on along with a change to the color scheme and some "accessories."

Now that the white plastic is out for the R I might have to order some and then figure out what color to dye them.

The CR is sweet and I like the White/Blue 1125R better than the black.

I think the CR is very cool... this bike is one step closer to a sport tour... lots of potential for a hot standard bike... Kind of what the current Triumph Tiger is today. I don't care what anyone says... sport touring is back... Keep em' coming Buell!!!!

I like the original fairing, but I think this is an appealing bike. I like the new colors and the agressive look. I like the Red, and I think it would look good with Black Pods. Maybe even the Black with Red pods. Love the Red caliper, and pin striped wheels. Looking good. HOpe the press gives it rave reviews. REX

I for one, love the new CR, I think its badazzz. reminds me of a Benelli TNT. odd but cool looking.

the CR model has redone gearing to improve acceleration. IE what that actually means is that the final drive ratio changed from 2.593:1 to 2.815:1. I already calculated the effects on my spreadsheet:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=piMa420IFsf gb2gr2Irt5fg&gid=5

So now first gear tops out at 61 mph, compared to 67 for the R model.
Second gear tops out at 87 mph rather than 84 mph and third stops at 110 instead of 119 compared to the 1125R.

Flat out in 6th you'll be going 158 mph, instead of 172 in the R model. I like the new gearing of the CR, I don't need to go faster than 140 anyway.
