Got tired of the black and had nothing else to do at the shop. White with some blue pearl.http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/rainman1ne/ DSC01779.jpghttp://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/rainman1ne/ DSC01782.jpghttp://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg4/rainman1ne/ DSC01780.jpg

Did a test panel and didn't have the wow effect I wanted, this was a last second decision. Couldn't think of any other color to go with the blue.

Great job. I'm impressed how much color changes shapes and designs. After seeing bikes like yours and Norice's it makes me think Black may be the worst color for the bike as it matches the ends of the pods making them look their largest.

I like your color choice and the pipe looks great too. Gives an illusion that your bike weighs 100 pounds less than a stock one.

Looks really good. The ONLY criticism (if you are even looking for some) is for the belt guard and rear hugger. It's almost too much white. It makes the bike look too "matchy matchy".

I like the look of the scoops with the black edge.

It would be cool is someone was able to carry the black edge look to the rest of the bike from the scoops. A rallye stripe maybe?

Anyway, I really like the look of it. Got any video/audio clips of that exhaust?

Nice! the Blue and White look good together.

I agree with Jeremy on the chain card, but I really like the rear huger matching the paint scheme.

That looks awesome ,I was wanting to play around with photoshop to see what it would look like white. Great minds think alike!! I agree with the idea that it does look smaller in white. Great finished product..... Buell are you gettin' this???

That's gorgeous. I was thinking flat silver, but maybe white is the way to go. . .

I thought the orange looked good, this is better.

I hate black bikes, still bought the 1125R

Ohh man, that was the exact color scheme I wanted to paint mine. Kudos to you for actually getting it done first....looks as awesome as I thought it would!!

Hmm, I might have to paint mine to just match my Thunderbird now....burgandy faded to black with a red pearl over the top....

Whats the average cost in painting the 1125r? What kind of prepping is involved?
Im thinking of getting mine painted a bright yellow like the sunfire yellow of the XBs.

Well, I just got a quote for about $900 for it done right. As in very right, lots of prep work, multiple base coat passes, multiple clear coat passes, wet sanding repeatedly, the whole nine yards. Takes about two weeks turn-around because he lets every coat cure properly, etc. . .

I'm sure places will do it cheaper, and I'm sure they wouldn't do it as well either.

I'm after a flat finish, so I could probably rattle can it with Krylon Fusion and be OK other than having to be very careful of fuel. It can also rub off onto your riding gear when hot I understand.

If you're after a flat finish the clear won't be necessary, and it took me four hours to do mine. One hour to buff after wards. I hate when body shops mislead people. Sealer takes ten minutes TOPS, witch is needed if spraying a light base over a dark base color. Base is about two minutes in a heated booth in between coats, clear needs five minutes to flash for each coat. Typical vehicle or bike only needs two to three coats, any more would just be a waste. The more you put on will just produce more texture that would be harder to de-nib and polish out. $900 is a pretty good deal, I would have charged about $1000-$1250 to do this on any other bike (using DuPont paints). Last note, if prepped right paint wont rub off regardless of heat. Don't know about Krylon but DuPont is good up to 250 deg.

Holy $hit that D&D is loud. Still looking for an exhaust that looks good, will lop at least 10pounds from stock, increase power without wrecking the curve & not blow your eardrums.
