So I picked up a set of weighted barends and a barend mirror.

When I look to take off the original mirrors from the fairing, I'm not seeing a way to disconnect the wiring that goes to the indicators. Is it hidden away under the cluster?

(pictures to follow)

Follow the wires down the fairing support.
The support has a groove in it the wires lay in.
They end in bullet connectors near the middle.
Twist and pull.

Will this have an effect on the loading of the circuitry? (ie - rear blinkers will blink faster)

Yes, the signals in the rear will blink faster if the front signals are disconnected. You could always wire up the running lights as blinkers to resolve that issue...

Darkhorse Moto LLC has some very nice mirror block offs for the 25. Keith is a great guy too. Had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife last week. I live right down the road from him.

I wired my signal wires to the running lights.
The tiny bulbs aren't much different load than all the LEDS in the mirror.

My signals blink at "close enough" to the original rate to be un-noticeable.
Looking for some LED "bulbs" in amber to replace the bulbs, but that's a low priority right now.
It's all working fine as-is.

Made my running lights front signals also. I have the dark horse block off plates too.

Now if only Al and dark horse got together to make those block off plates having leds in the top of them. How cool would that be? I also run the crg bar ends and love em. Just dont like the regular mirrors in my face when leaning into the twistys.

Al was supposed to be looking in to that already Big but I think he's been quite busy of late and hasn't gotten to it yet.

rick914 -

yup yup yup....exactly what I have mounted. ; ) Biiiig thumbs up to Keith and his "shipping department". (I hope he reads this)

bigeasy -

yeah, I'm running the CGR's also with the lane splitter barend mirror. Nooooo vibrations that I've noticed up to and beyond 70mph. I couldn't be happier with the decision to chop the stockies.

I'd also like a little more info (lots) of how you setup the running lights into blinkers. pics are always appreciated.
