Quick survey:Is the gas affecting your riding habits?

And what are your local gas prices?

I would Yes, just knocked off 25% of my riding.

$4.20 for premium (St. Louis MO) and no, I'm averaging 350 miles a week already, so I'm actually riding more. I had an SV650 that I put on 200 a week, roughly and it got better fuel mileage (42-45 mpg) and my 1125 only gets about 34-37 mpg.

Hanford, CA and gas is just under $5 for 91. No, it doesn't stop me from pleasure riding. Nor does it stop me from driving my 69 GTO either. It does piss me off when I fill up though!
I like horsepower and the adrenaline rush of acceleration!

I wish I could find someplace with 93 octane! 91 is as good as it gets around here. I try to only fill up at station with separate hoses for each grade so I don't get the rating lowered any further.

Highest I've paid is $4.14 gal and I put 110 miles on last Saturday, which is coincidently when I paid $4.14.

93 Octane is $4.49 - $4.63 here (Long Island, NY). I get about the same gas mileage on the bike as I do in my "Economy" car and the tolls are half as expensive on the bike. I ride every day.

This is goin great,I guess I feel honored with 93 oct. I failed to mention I am a owner/operator and drive the state 2900-3100 mi.a week. So I crunch #'s daily, and ride when I can. Still able to squeeze in 6k in 6mos.

Please continue the feedback.

there are a couple places in reno/sparks that sell both 93 and 100 octane-both unleaded. both VP racing fuels and sunoco are available (110 for leaded fuel also available).

i havent put any 100 in my 1125 yet, but my S2 LOVES it! the throttle response is greatly improved, and you cannot beat the scent of the exhaust!! it just MAKES you want to go racing!

last fall it was about 6.50/gal for 100 octane.. i should really stop by and throw some in the 1125, but i just dont really feel like i need any more throttle response out of it, unlike how i always craved more on my thunderbolt...

on the subject of fuel costs, i only ride the 1125.. because my alternative is a dodge dually diesel and that REALLLLLLY likes fuel... like 13mpg a lot!! i put an average of 500mi on either my bike or my truck... its pretty obvious which one im going to pick for both the fuel mileage and fun factor (though my well massaged ~450hp diesel is pretty fun in its own class)

Q1: Yes. It is affecting my riding habits. I ride more (commuting and errands). No reduction in pleasure riding. My car has actually sat still the last two weeks.

Q2: $4.85/gal 91 octane, SoCal

Last 2 tanks I've filled up from pumps that have separate hoses for each octane and that's gotten rid of all the surging except in very high temps. If only I could find 93, I'd bet it'd run even better.
