Kind of in front\Behind of the instrument cluster where the wiring comes up. It is tucked in there.

Found it, now where would I go to find a piece to connect to it? Need to wire up a cig. outlet to work with it and don't know if Radio Shack might carry the piece to go on it.

Neil (Ccryder) and I tracked it down to a Sumitomo connector.
Don't know if anyone ever found a source for it other than getting a Uly Accessory plug.
If you need a cig lighter for accessories, the Uly harness will work fine.
It has the male Sumitomo on one end and a "lighter-type" acc'y socket on the other end.

It won't work for an actual lighter tho but it has the mating end to fit the 1125's socket...

This what the connector is: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/367925.html

Right now I can't find the P/N of that Uly Accy plug but I'll keep looking.

Anyone know if you can find this connector anywhere?

Most I have heard from those that have research it you have to purchase them qty's of 1000 or some such. But check and see if the Uly power outlet is available. As stated previously it has the connection on the end of it I believe.

Well, if not the connector, that Uly power piece with it on the end will do.

Here ya go for the Uly power plug:
HD Y0198.1AK SOCKET CIGARETTE LIGHTER WHARNESS = $12.00ea.

Trying to get the Sumitomo connector and all it's parts w/o buyer too many may be difficult. Just trying to find a source is pretty darn difficult.

Hey, thanks for the part #.

Did some work and found that the little plug that is in the accessory plug is the part we need. It's meant to be used to wire up things like heat grips and what not into it. You remove the rubber plugs in it and put in the wire clips which can be had at a dealer, part # 73190-96 . Hope that helps.

Ryan - I think somebody gave you bad information. According to the parts manual Part #73190-96 is "Terminal (15)" which fits into Part # 73108-96BK (Connector, 8 pin) for the LH Controls.

If you want to wire-up your own accessory plug, you need part #'s Y0132.02A8 "Plug (black)" & Y0170.5A8 "Connector, 2 way (Grey). You would need 2 of the Y0132.028A as these are the actual wire pieces.

To relate that to Neil's chart. Y0132.02A8 is "Terminal M" and Y0170.5A8 is "Housing M"

Spec, well, looking at that picture the Housing M is what I have in my hand right now that came off the plug on the bike. Looking in it it has the retainer. All I need is the Terminal M and some wires and I should be good to go.

Thanks for the update Ryan. When you get the parts let us know and send some pictures.

There are a bunch of us that have an interest in being able to wire up our on accessory plugs.

Just ordered the parts today to have some accessories wired for my bike. Just waiting patiently to get all my parts in for my theme bike. I'll post pics as soon I get the parts and I am done.

BMC told my dealers parts guy that the only mating plug is on the heated grips and that it is not a user serviceable item...so no parts from BMC

you can get the housing and the rubber plugs to seal the unit from dirt/water

just can't get the metal terminals and the wire seals

I cut mine off and used a set from auto junkyard...been in my toolbox for awhile and came in handy

I have found the official OEM part numbers for the 12VDC accessory connector, M and F plugs.

They are:

Sumitomo 6188-0047 (male)
Sumitomo 6089-0100 (female)

The problem is that I have looked high and low for a supplier, and I can find the male plug from the middlemen but not the female.

I need extra plugs, so wiring-up the end-cap that comes on the bike isn't an option.

Anyone have a source?

I would have thought that H-D would sell the replacement "end cap" for people who lose the original. It seems that is not the case. : (
