its a good interview, the 4th one is the only one about the 1125R with the first 3 about the history of Buell, from the man himself. Good interview, worth the time to watch.

Its interesting to note that Eric says a large part of the discussion for the XB series has been quality control and how to make it easy for their supplier to make the parts and I think that shows well because the XB's have been reliable, low maintenance motorcycles. The 1125R is an extension of that with a engine that will appeal to the "water cooled only" customers.

Thanks for posting the link.
Agreed, an outstanding interview.
I think Erik was getting misty at the end...

Kinda of interesting how he mentioned paint scheme, Black and Blue as a reflection of how he felt getting this bike to market..

This is nice to witness and be a paying customer in support of.

I never witnessed such a video from any other bike/car manufacture horse's head that I've owned over the years!

BMC deserves all the good that can come from their hard work ethic.

Mr. Buell seems to be a very genuine and hard working man.

Most of his sentences involved the word, "we". That speaks volumes to his true demeanor.

Thank you for sharing.

Great Great stuff. Of course I keyed into the section regarding tube frames. He indicated that when the tubes were designed he never invisioned the volume of the late 90s, and that the quality control and demands of manufacturing tubes was starting to become a liability. Got it. The question I had was, ala ducati monster, how feasible do you think a re-engineered tube as a mid range family would be possible. Maybe if the 1125 family explodes?

I'm sorry, Sir, but you've got it all wrong! That's not a horse, it's a pegasus...

The BIG PLAN, in February 1993 when HD and Buell teamed up, was to build 300 bikes. Building, tooling and staffing was adjusted accordingly.

Who'd have guessed they would have done that in a few short months.
