The gears in the trans are straight cut gears and my bike has the whine. It seems normal to me for that kind of gear cut. I think the higher pitch noise is from the balance shaft gears.

Hey guys, read your posts and I too have heard the whines and gurgles with accel and decel. Is taking some getting used to, especially cuz I can't hear well with my helmet on. My XB9 had a pipe so I was used to a throatier sound. I'll probably pipe this one too. The stock sounds on the 1125 are dull. No temp issues here, seems dead on. I also noticed the fraying on the belt. Have not found one custom seat mfg that will touch my 1125 which is a real bummer cuz it doesn't seem like rocket science. Got XB handgrips cuz the wrist strain is a bit much. Guess I don't get as much of a wrist workout as you guys do, LOL. Anyway, she still rocks and I can't wait to get back out there. Weather sucks here in Wisc.

Mmm...Sean Hyland Motorsports...

I've got a belt drive on the Mustang and love it, changing my cam timing is just a matter of loosening a couple bolts... It was super easy to degree the motor...

Heard "the howl" today on Loretta.
Without a bucket, everything sounds different.
Right at 26 mph it's the loudest, sure it's the belt.

I agree Zac, I can feel the "howl" through my left foot. I think its the belt. It sounds cool, IMHO.

Me too, reminded me of a grated bridge without the wiggle.

I agree to, it is the belt. Has to be some kind of harmonics.
