I have to wait till july to pick mine up as I am currently stationed in Japan. I already have paid for most of my bike and take delivery on July 28. So until then i have to live thru you lucky bastards who already have theirs. Please tell me the performance numbers of the production bike. 0-60 times? 1/4 mile times? ?top speed?

Top speed oughtta be waiting for a Bonneville run.
Should be somewhere around 175mph.
Hate to get a ticket for a hundred over.

0-60 in a blink of an eye.
Fastest acceleration I've ever felt, and my tires spin from the cold.
Kinda weird, screwing on throttle at 70 and feeling the rear spin... on dry pavement.

Best I can do for now.

Ya, then you shift to 2nd,,,,Hang on!!! then 3rd and start laughing 'cause the front hasn't touched the ground yet,,,

gotta go ride,

Kinda weird, like Zac mentioned, and when the rear doesn't spin and the head lights are looking up! I'm not used to that yet, but getting there.

0-60 in a blink of an eye is accurate.

1/4 mile times on paper for my weight say high 9 sec. but realistic times are probably mid 10 sec. I should know for sure some time in April.

I`ve ripped mine up into the low 140s mph range a couple of times. Too scary. It will get up there quick! The really scary part is that there is more to get into if you got the balls or if your crazy enough.

I have a GPS log from the back straight at Mid Ohio that shows 178 mph...

(of course, it was no doubt wrong, as there is some jitter in the GPS positions, but it had to be over 150 regardless... I just accelerated until I chickened out... the bike had more in it... things become surreal at that kind of speed, even on a track. Couldn't comprehend doing it on a road).

Pingel has wheelie bars for the xb bikes so I would think they would work on the r I am thinking of getting them and I have fear of flipping the bike over so I want them but have a problem of getting them to the track, I will need someones help to bring them, racing throttle is suppose to be in 4 to 5 weeks, also deciding on which shift light to get? I think the drag strip opens in April so I have to wait and hope to be ready for street night, I am hoping for a rush, last time I was on the ulysses and it was boring. Mike

...just turned over 1000miles on my #524 and she is starting to loosen up a little...in a slow weird but welcome sort of way, just feels a little better with every hit wot. did the first oil and filter change and checked all the normal stuff @ 600. as far as getting up to 60, able cat pouncing is all I can describe. i must be getting old but the highest i've had the stomach for is 110mph before rolling back. this girl does have legs and if you look at her right, eyes too! just want to work out all the bugs before i take her to bed with over 150mph! : )! what a thought!}}

Yes I know and will check out the mounting before I buy it, but I can weld and should be able to make it work, the biggest problem is getting it to the track, I do own a car just two bikes the 1125R and a Buell blast rat bike, and my son owns a ulysses. Mike

9 second quarter, Hayabusa....

125 HP at the rear wheel won't go that quick unless the engine is mounted to a skateboard and the whole package weighs 150 pounds.

At the Appleton's Harley shop in Clarksville, Tennessee a Harley mechanic told me he did the math and the 1125 would walk the dog on a ZX14 based on his power to weight figures. I can't believe somebody would even have the ignorance to say something like that. Of course this is the same guy who told me that at 8000 rpm's in 4th gear the wheel was floating a foot off the ground when he rode it. Duh, the bike had less than 10 miles on it! Oh, he also told me a vendor dropped it going around the corner of the building in the parking lot. I Said "Dude, this bike was dropped at least 40 to 50 mph based on the ground off lever, handlebars and other parts". All I know is I don't want any bike those clowns sell and I sure wouldn't leave a machine belonging to me in their care. Oh, just for the record, I had a ZX12, it was turbo'd with NOS and have several friends with 14's & Busa's, I'm not interested in this bike to drag race any of them or do interstate roll-ons against them, but through Deal's Gap, thats a different story.

Spatten, what are you talking about 125 Hp at the rear? For what bike?

9 Second 1/4 mile Busa's are all over the magazines, I just pasted the first one I googled.

Buellborn: I was referring to the posts above that say the 1125 will do 9 second 1/4s and will smoke a Busa, which ain't too likely. Sorry if I was unclear in my sarcasm.

Spatten,

What posts are you referring to?

None in this thread say the 1125 will....

We are just having a harmless "bench race".

As soon as we get some time slips posted then we WILL know what it runs and WILL know what it beats.

...and if I'm not mistaken...this is not a "race" bike here but a "street" sport designed combination built from the rider down?...so who cares if YOU are having fun but YOU? Bench racing if for couch potatoes, this bike...I agree with the Tail of the Dragon thought...awesome! Besides, there is more power within this chick than MOST men could keep WOT through sixth gear! Just trying to reel us all back to reality on what the real world is with this machine. A driver, not a rice racer...nuff said

Jeesh,

Why did I even bother? I was just trying to help Timmy so that he would have something to look forward to when he gets shipped back home. And since there seems to be a lack of proven answers to his questions I told what I know and what I estimate.

I know that it isn`t a race bike but I sure will take it to the track a couple times a year anyway.

By the way I am not a f...ing couch potato!

Dalton gang, i thank you very much for your thoughts and you did indeed give me something to look forward to. And also a reason to not miss all of the money I give to Harley each month.

I think wheelie bars, shift light, and electric shifter, maybe. I think you need full leathers if the bike goes under ten seconds, is this true or is it higher. Mike

I just read the rules going 10.99 or quicker or over 120 mph requires leather or kelvar jacket and pants and snell 95 or newer helmet. Mike

It depends on the track. Some require it if you are running in the 11's.

depends on track and organization
there are bikes at the local 1/8 that are running low 6s at 130 and no leathers

with ahdra if you run 120mph in the 1/4 you have to have them

just depends on track and organization
