So Matty and I were driving down Main Street in my '51 Willys and in front of Starbucks, there it was - the first 1125R I have seen in the wild, heck first I have seen in person. Matty pointed it out. I must say, from 50 feet away, it doesn't look half bad.

We didn't have enough time to stop an check it out, but if I see it there again, I'll track down the owner. Heck, I'd love to just hear it.

I stopped by the local National Cycle Supply (NCS) on my 1125R to pickup a Battery Tender Jr and before I got off the bike 15 people came filling out of the store and circled the bike, including the store staff.

It was the first 1125R they had seen in person. There was a big debate about the looks of the bike. Most liked the looks but one guy was arguing about how odd looking it was. Finally one of the guys shut him up by saying it's better looking than that Busa you ride and much more practical.

I was drilled with all kinds of questions for about 20mins. Finally managed to slip away telling the manager I was kind of in a hurry and needed a Battery Tender Jr. While checking out the manager asked what he could carry in terms of parts and accessories that would bring in Buell owners. I promised to email him some links.

I drew a small crowd too at the local multi-brand dealer yesterday.
Pulled in to see their accessories section and sales and service all had to come see.
"Hey look - it's one of those new Rotax Buells!"
Spent 15 minutes yakking with a wrench that rides an Aprilia.
Finally saw a 'Busa, yeah they're ugly, but not as bad as the pics show it.
What I really freaked at tho was the B-King, Holy Crap what a DOG, that thing is the epitome of fugly.

I'm quite happy with Loretta, what a hot-rod.

I'll have to go because I feel like I am the only person on this board who hasn't gotten up close and personal with one yet.

Maybe not going out of my way to see one is my defense mechanism, because somewhere deep down I fear I will like it too much, when riding my CityX is pure zen now.

"I don't need 146hp, I don't need 146hp, I don't need 146hp." I repeat this over an over again in my sleep. I was glad I thought it was ugly when it came out, it kept me from getting one already. : )

FINALLY broke down and went to my local HD dealer with a few other Phoenix area Badwebbers on Saturday. I must say, it is WAY better in person than in pictures. The pods were a non issue, as were the "dimples" on the frame, and the welds on the muffler. I guess if I were OCD I might have an issue with the cosmetics but what intrigued me is how comfy the riding position is. I really don't need the temptation of riding one. That'll have to wait til next year....
