So yeah, I'm itching to ride the bike, Just curious what the weather conditions are other places. I'm debating taking a trip in the next week or 2 for a weekend some where out 1000 miles or so to some nice weather. Warmest place under that I can think of is Dallas, TX. Any thoughts?

Thoughts? - It's January, and it sucks

Only thing I've been riding is my tractor with the snowblower on it - three times in the last two days!

The closer you get to the coast, the warmer it will be. Austin, and Houston are a little better in that regard than Dallas. New Orleans is down there too.

Of the three destinations you mention, Jim, Austin will have the best Twisties™.

I grew up there.

27 degrees here in FLORIDA this morning : ( but the good news is it"s been cold for two days...means winter is half over. Back into the 70's for the weekend. The new 1125 should be ready for its first service after its done!

I just looked at our forecast -
They're saying 58˚ F for Saturday... balmy.
I love Colorado.

Zack, where is the good Twisties™ near Austin? I live in Fort Hood/ Killeen and have to go to Austin for service. I am planning on heading down there next week. I usually run through Georgetown on my way down. Roads are alright but not much twisting. It is going to be between 60 and 77 degrees for the next week and I plan on getting 500 miles in. I can easily see this bike becoming my daily driver. I guess the Mustang Cobra is just going to sit in the driveway. Lots of riding to do.

I don't know any specifics anymore, but the "Hill Country" in general is some of the best rambling, scenic part of the state.

Certainly no "Dragon"

I haven't lived in Texas since 1976, so it's a bit different now.

Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up too much.
I was just saying that out of Austin, Houston or N.O., Austin would be better.

Our mountains, here in Colorado are exquisite to ride, but not this time of year.
