I don't start none...ever! But I don't take none either. And when I dish it out, I am man enough to admit it, own up to it, and claim it for what it is. You know who I am and where I live and I am in three phone books. None of this lilly pad stuff of, "How do you know I was talking about you?"..."I coulda been talking about anybody." Blah, blah, blah! When someone insults me, I figure at that point the gloves are off. But there are insults and then there are INSULTS. Even my insults are "thoughtful and respectful" and generally to the comment, not the individual (unless it was really, really bad, and then it is a similar return volley). No fingers, no name calling like some on here... I challenge you to find one instance where I insulted someone first. Just once... And then we will take a look at your record. | ||

If I had insulted you, Jimidan, believe you me, you wouldn't be asking the question. You sometimes take a very insulting tone. I didnt' insult you, where did I insult you? And the finger, well, I thought it was labeled pretty clearly, but maybe you feel you deserve it, therefore are taking it upon yourself? Go ahead and take a look at my record, I have nothing to hide. My name and whereabouts are right in my file here, nothing hidden. I also don't have any hidden agendas, I call it like I SEE IT. You say you may not be insulting to an individual, and yet, you seem to be pissing a whole lot of people off, I doubt you'll find me embroiled in near as much controversy as that. You are quite gifted at sounding very insulting and CONDESCENDING without acually giving out what could literally be taken as an "attack" or "personal insult" or breaking the badweb rules. Me, why I guess I am just a bit more to the point and literal than that. And if you think I am so bored and stupid to go digging through endless archives here to prove anything to anybody that I don't personally know, about anything at all, then I give you to much credit. ANd when we're done pissing and moaning here, ( hi Reg, LOVED the ol' mag, I miss that one!) Maybe we can find time to go for a ride. So, are you going to buy one if these bikes too? What line are you going to use on your wife to justify it? Jimi - I would love to be first in line for the 1125R no matter the lap times. I am more interested on the comfort level for a fully capable super bike. "From the Rider Down" sounds good. I will hopefully see one at VIR in September. Unfortunately I will not be first in line for the this bike like I was for the Uly. I have promised the family a new cage first. For some reason they whine when I ask all four of them to load up on the bike. | ||

And I'd agree with you, 'bolt. This is probably the wrong board to say this but, sometimes a boy's gotta do what a boy's gotta do... I have always had great respect for Erik Buell. Always agree with him? No.Occasionally pissed-off at him (and vice versa)? Yes. Regardless, the respect has remained because professionally he deserves it. But, the obsequious butt-kissing re Erik that often pervades this place induces a gag reflex in me. Each of you--us--is accomplished in our own right. That boards and headlines don't reflect this does not diminish who we are. Cripes, guys, get up on your hind legs; high-five Erik and boys when they deserve it, challenge them when they don't. That is how we get better motorcycles, not by making silk purses from sow's ears. (I can feel the anti-christ mantle getting closer.) | ||

Reg, If there was a bulletin board celebrating what each of us do best, those who DON'T do it and appreciate what we do would probably show appreciation, respect and admiration for us there. I am a specialist in Executive Benefits. Were there an Executive Benefits specialist enthusiast board, I would be an 800lb gorilla. Were there a bulletin board dedicated to Battletrax, I have no doubt YOU would be viewed much as Erik is here.
