I like this thread, now we are arguing about whither or not we are arguing! Yeah, but are you arguing faster than Suzuki riders were arguing at Barber? |

I like this thread, now we are arguing about whither or not we are arguing! More mirth! "M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition. A: No it isn't. M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction. A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position. M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.' A: Yes it is! M: No it isn't! A: Yes it is! M: Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes. (short pause) A: No it isn't. M: It is." Lap times? I'm going riding again. :-} |

Guys... It's 5:12 a.m. Sat. morn. and I'm about to leave on a kick-ass ride... I need this as I've gotten way to involved here lately. To clear the air as I leave: 1) "Reg" doesn't have a group. 2) "Reg" believes that anyone who sides with him too much is in serious need of help. 3) "Reg" has little use (in the context of this board)for the kool-aiders or bilge-garglers, and especially pompous asses. And he's not so sure about all the others not found in these categories. 4) "Reg" thinks the idea behind this thread is excellent, but its execution is flawed. 5) "Reg" is flawed. 6) If any would care to discuss this further "Reg" can always be found at SadSACK |

If anyone notices the frequency of my input on this thread is low, its because I have been riding! A few have tried to put this thread back on track about LAP TIMES AT BARBER! Can we agree to disagree about just that topic. Conversely, I watched the Vesrah Suzuki run circles around every other bike on the track during the WERA endurance race at Barber. The Vesrah Gixxer even ran circles around every other Gixxer there, so maybe it has something to do with rider skill, eh? To be fair, that was a race prepped bike. Obviously they have a good rider, but they also had the set up for the day. It appears that Street Bike to Street Bike on the day at Barber, the 1125R had the set up for the day considering the riders were the same. Like I posted some 40 pages ago when we were still on topic, the Gixxer, especially the totally new one that just came out in '07 was hard to dial in at the CW Master Bike shoot out. They commented that the Suzuki Engineers could not get the bike dialed in. Maybe like many would say about Buell every time the handling is less than perfect, "its in the flawed design on the new Gixxer." I say that tongue and cheek for the naysayers that always spew the same at Buells. The fact is that the Gixxer was not the bike that day. Why does it have to be the rider or a conspiracy especially when a major publication just last month posted the same result. The new Gixxer gain RWHP but it also gained weight. The new Gixxer was slower than the last revision of itself. I think since we are dissecting what has already happened more than once, that we are showing more our true bias instead. Oh I'm going to beach for the weekend so if you do not see me post in a while you know why. |

Obviously they have a good rider... The Vesrah team had good riders, with an "s". I think they had 4 different riders, and it was tough to tell when they switched, as their techniques were so similar. My wife noticed the different riders, whereas I didn't even notice until I reviewed my photos later. As good as the Vesrah team was, though, they weren't hitting the corners quite the same as the guys in the AMA race a week earlier. Am I qualified to dissect lap times at Barber? No. The only time I've ever had my knee down, I also had an elbow, a hip, and a helmet on the deck. I can outride my skill with something that only puts 85hp to the rear wheel, let alone 125hp. So, why am I so interested in the 1125R? Well, I thought to myself, "Finally, maybe we can stop hating ourselves and each other."... ...nope, we own Buells, so if we can't hate each other, who can we hate? ...still, this is much better than all that "I love you, you love me" positive reinforcement nonsense over at Multistrada.net |

SadSACk is a polygamist compound in Utah. Same as anywhere else but there you have 8 wives bitching about your riding a Buell. |

Yeah but, if it was a nudist, polygamist compound on an asteroid orbiting Uranus, seeing those 8 naked wives bitching about you riding your Buell just wouldn't seem as bad. |

Neither is the average nudist colony. Most of those folks go where you are required to be naked because no one would ask them to be otherwise. |

Reg, "Blake... I AM being silly here. Even worse, I'm getting in the way of possible good information. Would you mind if I started a separate topic where we all could just sit around and trade insults?" Sure. Anything to give you a chuckle. Knowing this place though and its virtually inevitable tendency towards topic drift, don't be surprised if an enlightening discussion breaks out. |
