You guys didn't see when they updated the website already? Oh yeah, they took that back off.

They will update the website the same time they show the dealers the bike (if they continue the trend of the past several years), July 8 between 3-4pm.

There was also a mention to stick around Sunday at homecoming.

Happy Buelling!

Josh

I saw that, and I'll ask again. Should we stick around at Road America, or at the Factory? I need to know as I'm traveling back home on Sunday.

This is the way I look @ it. There will be a water cooled Buell soon. Might be next sunday.

If we see an air cooled XB14RR Sunday. Its only a short time b4 we will see a H20 12R.

Why am I certain? We all know they are had been working on a water cooled Buell (VR engine) and they will be releasing a water cooled bike (dirt) in 2 years. You dont think they will have a competitive air cooled dirt bike do ya?

I would love to see an H20 12R that could do WSBK. If I dont I might be on an RC8 or a 1098 next year.

With all the bikes names coming from weather. What would they call it? Water cooled buell, Buell Monsoon?

Erik Buell, it's time for you to make it rain!

Nicozzzz! Very NICE! Unique and cool too.

Barker,

Not "foul weather", "Bad Ass Weather", as in bad ass sport bikes whether you like it or not, biatch. : ] The Ulysses and Firebolt may not be baad weather bikes precisely named, but they are close kin in name to some very baad ass mojo, weather you like it or not. : ]

I've got it figured out...

It'll either be a streetbike or dirtbike and it'll be either air or liquid cooled (maybe both). Someone send me a dollar.

"track"

Oh just knock it off Court...

that has to be one of the most articulated paint jobs i have ever seen on a bike nicozz. you have a great friend there. right now i can't care what comes out, not until i get a bigger garage anyhow. although more power means more speed means more speeding tickets. i got two more months before i can go to school again.

You're just having to much fun with this now.

Before the two years of announcements I've seen on badwebb so far there have been posts similar to this and nothing revolutionary has happened. I hope there is something cool, but I'm just not sure anything is going to hold up to the hype from this year. What was the reaction on badwebb when the XBs came out? There must have been some people that just didn't like them. I would think Buell would continue in that different type of direction if they come out with anything actually new. More configurations of the current XB don't really count.

I'm going to speculate, like others have, that if there is a new sport model, it will use Buell forward thinking and engineering for everything but the engine. The engine will most likely be a Rotax twin similar to the ones used in the Aprilia Milles of yore. A bike like this will be light, handle well, and will have the competitive power necessary to win races. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday. Just a guess.

Erik Buell, it's time for you to make it rain!
I have news for you IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED.
I know I was involved every step of the way.Proof I'll give you proof.
Visited the factory in 1998 it rained that day.
Picked up my X1 and rode home in the rain.
Rode with Erik in Australia it rained .
Went to America with Team Elves Bonneville rained out so we stayed in Colorado.
The night of the party it rained.
XB12S ready for delivery road blocked by rain.
Went to Lake Gairdner to help the Fireman it had rained and the track was wet.
I see a familiar pattern developing here and I hope that water will be involved in a Buell bike soon as the Ducati 1098 is looking real nice.

Well, here's a link to a European media bike blog. Scroll down to the guy's 6/6/07 entry. He thinks there's a liquid-cooled Buell, maybe with a Rotax, that'll be announced in August. But what does he know?

How about a V4 600cc or V3 675cc to fit in the XB frame? Take on the japanese 600 class head on. With XBRR bodywork. And give out racer contingency too. Legal to race in AMA SS, FX, plus all the Wera, CCS, etc club races' biggest classes.

well, in the interest of keeping the thread going to 1,000, i've been VERY interested in the Triumph Daytona 675 as of late. with all the reviews glowing, and if Buell doesn't come up with some "hot sauce" next week, i might just be trading the ole xb in...anyone else have a hankerin' for the 675?

in the end though, i hope Buell pulls something amazing out of the hat, and makes me want to trade the xb in for ANOTHER Buell...don't let us down, Erik! (and i don't think you will...)

no kiddin! i only wish the local dealer would let me take one out for a test ride...but no such luck! though there are a few out there on craigslist that i've got my eye on. with an Arrow race exhaust, and the paint color jet black or graphite gray??? hot damn, that's getting damned near ducati 1098 territory...

If you like the Daytona 675, have you seen their ideas for the Street Triple? It the naked version of the same bike. Styling similar to the Speed Triple, but lighter and more nimble...

A six speed in a Uly with the first gear LOWER would be great! In fact, how bout two down and four up? Like a granny gear? Or - even better- a dual range tranny!!
Oh yeah, and another 20 reliable hp.

I raced a 3hr endurance a few weeks ago on a D675. Ohlins shock and fork internal (Thermosman), full Arrow exhaust. We won our class (2nd overall) and it was awesome. So narrow and lots of torque, plus good top end. It'll be my next race bike probably.

I wish Buell would come out with something just as competitive

While I didn't check to see if this is mentioned anywhere else in this thread or forum I decided I'll post about it anyway.

for 2008 Buell has some more competition with suzuki bringing to north american shores its hayabusa powered hooligan bike, The B-king
