Maybe this is old news but I found it very cool to read this today, I really don't know much about the history of road racing but this seemed to tell some of Erik's story. I just wanted to ask what you guys thought of it, Good, Bad just what you think. I guess my S1 means a little more to me now after learning a little more about Erik Buell's developments and history. It is in the March/ April issue.

If the article's history doesn't mention the RR1000 setting multiple Bonneville records in 2001 & 2002, it did and for those of us who were there, those were awesome events that made all us Buellers proud.

And yes, the S1, as a further development of bikes like the RR1000, do mean a lot to those who can appreciate their uniqueness and place in the History of Buell. I'd say you've got a keeper. : )

http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/motorcycle-reviews/buell-RR1000.aspx Here ya go guys, The only thing that surprised me is that they didn't mention was all the records at Bonneville that were set, Arron Wilson, and Timbo Horton with the help of NRHS spent years there setting records with this bodywork. I remember one year Tim got a call from Erik while he was on the salt after setting a record. I guess many people just don't know about those forms of racing, And that's just too bad as they don't do it for the money. Sorry for the rant, But it is a great article.
